  1. Make DocuWare variables available in text area of stamp

    Please allow the stamp text area to use DocuWare variables like user name and data/time variables.

    Currently the user and date/time can be added as default stamp text but it's in a hard coded order.

    Being able to change that order and potentially mix it with additional info would be helpful.

    So instead of the standard stamp of this

    Username
    Date time

    I'd like to be able to configure it to this:

    Date time Username

    Or this:

    CSR Username Date time

    Essentially adding variables to the text area opens up a lot of additional options when designing stamps!

  2. Passwords should not be repeated in in the last 12, 60 day cycles.

    A user should not be able to alternate between the same two passwords.

  3. Improve Auto Indexing fault tolerance on error

    Auto Indexing will go into error state after first seeing connection loss and not re-attempt without manual starting process from DocuWare Administration Utility.
    Allowing for another attempt after a set time-frame would greatly help managing this module as re-starting these processes can become very time intensive.

  5. Notification

    A document stored in the file cabinet ready for email notification. (so in the notification table). A user logs in during the day and approves invoice randomly… At 4pm (or whatever time you assign) however, he will still get an email notification to let him know that he has invoices to approve even though he has already completed his action. It would be good if we could remove this. What do you think?

  6. optional fields for groups or user defined tables

    For index filters in profiles we often use a database view on the DocuWare Users and grups ("dwGroups, dwUsers, dwUserToGroup").
    This helps to make a SQL index filter with the user-group settings.
    Often the group name itself is implemented in the index filter. For example the users in the DW group with the name "grp_Accounting" are just allowed to see documents of the business unit "Accounting".
    SQL index filter: CURRENTUSERLONGNAME() IN (SELECT v.User FROM View V Where (dwdata.dbo.archiv.)BusinessUnit = LEFT(3,v.groupName)
    (or something like that)
    If there would be a possibility to give groups optional fields we could take this information…

  7. Add ability to set custom Headers to a Web Service OAuth2 configuration

    Connecting to a D365 instance via OAuth2 requires a Custom Header to be set when obtaining the Token. This is not currently possible via the DW Web Service configuration page, there is no option for it. I am hoping for an option to define a custom header like this will become possible so that Docuware can connect directly to D365 environments.

  10. Add the ability to trigger workflows and webhooks when a document enters a Document tray

    I would like to have the option of adding a workflow or webhook to document trays. Currently, I can only assign a workflow or a webhook to a file cabinet. I would use this to a) have docuware randomly assign documents to members of a group or b) notify when there are old documents in a doc tray or c) log when documents entered and exited a document tray d) automatically assign additional data to documents in document trays.

  11. Restrict access to DocuWare Configuration to non-administrators

    Even if a user does not have any profile functions, they can still access the notifications and Stamps functions of Docuware configuration.
    It is best to deactivate the "Configuration" button in the Profile menu when the user has no rights over function profiles.

  13. Include the ability to access a particular Branding configuration in a DocuSign workflow

    In DocuSign it's possible to configure different "Brands" so you can send documents for signature with different company logos. It would be nice if we could specify the Brand ID we want to use in the integration workflow. This is already available in the DocuSign API but it would be nice to have in the DW published service as it is so much simpler to use than the DocuSign API.

  14. Add a table variable to workflow designer

    A table variable is very usefull. For now we have to create a table field index to work with in WF. That's not a good workaround and lack flexibility.

  15. Add Keyword support for Result List

    Add the ability to show keyword fields in result lists. Today we use workflows to trigger when the keyword fields change to then export the keyword values to a comma separated list into a Text field. We then display that text field in the result list. This creates a lot of extra processing on the docuware side to keep that text field updated. If we had a way to show the keyword in the result list (where we pick the separator) it would remove all this complexity.

  16. Parallels tasks

    Workflow designer is not able to create parallels tasks in a workflow. The parallel task activity is not designed to create differents parrallels tasks.
    We use multiple workflows to do that but there is no way to have data exchanges between these workflows (except using indexes, but it's not very convenient). Do you plan to enable parallelization in workflow designer ?

  17. Multi Column Select Lists - Define which column is the stored value

    In a multi-column select list, these are used as "Helpers" for the user to select a value from an SQL DB. If the user types the name from the first column, we want to provide five other columns to help them identify which one they want, things like address, active/inactive etc. I want to be able to allow them to select the one they want BUT only return or store when indexing the value in the 4th column, for Vendor ID and not the name they searched by in column 1.

  18. Administrative Notification Options for Setting or User Changes

    It would be very useful to have real-time audit notification for changes in the system. As an administrator I want to be notified of any Administrative changes to Users or controls. Ideally you would be able to select which notification you want to receive and these notifications would only be available to users with administrator access.

    For example:
    User Changes Notifications:
    -Notify on User Creation
    -Notify on User Deletion
    -Notify on User Role Changes

    Similarly there could be options for other changes in the system. I understand some of the information is available on Audit Logs, but that information is…

  19. Allow the ability to set column size in Result or List result dialogs for all users

    Allow the ability to set column size in Result or List result dialogs for all users. Today all users need to adjust column size to fit data across the screen. My clients would like to have those set to the optimum width when the dialogs is created.

  20. Limit which AD users are synced to the DW Cloud

    Currently when you choose which OU to sync from using the User Synchronization utility, the tool will bring in all users of that OU. Instead, the tool should only import the users who are mapped to a DocuWare group. This should work in the same manner that user synchronization works for on-prem systems. It is not uncommon that it is required to point at the top level OU to get the users that we want even though we do not want all users.
