Improve user notification when Desktop Apps stop unexpectedly
Currently, when Desktop Apps stop unexpectedly, for example due to DocuWare login issues, no notification is sent to users by the system. As a result, users become aware of the issue only after job failures have occurred.
Even if the system cannot directly detect whether Desktop Apps have stopped, it would be very helpful to provide some form of notification or guidance to users. For example, when a login error occurs, displaying a message such as:

Implement a switch in the installer that prevents the creation of the desktop icon
After every installation or update of the DocuWare Desktop Apps, a desktop shortcut is automatically created. Currently, there is no option to control whether this shortcut should be created or not.
In many environments, this shortcut is not needed at all. In our case, it causes confusion for end users, who often assume that the desktop icon is a direct access to the organization’s DocuWare cloud portal. As a result, users expect web access and become unsure when the application behavior does not match that expectation, generating unnecessary support tickets.

Adding an option to also delete from the Recycle Bin when migrating from the Document Tray in StorageRobot.
When using StorageRobot to migrate documents from the Document Tray to the File Cabinet, we set the configuration to delete the source documents.
In this scenario, the documents migrated from the Document Tray to the File Cabinet are automatically moved to the Recycle Bin. When migrating a large volume of documents, having the exact same data transferred to both the Recycle Bin and the File Cabinet significantly strains the storage capacity.

Implement the ability to add more than one email account dynamically to a Email task in a workflow
It is quite normal to have a list of an unknown number of emails you need to automatically send an email. Right now, there is no way to configure a workflow that get all these emails and send an email to all of them at the same time, as you have to add one by one in an unique variable to the email task.
It would be nice to have the ability to add all the emais in an text variable just separated by “;”.1 vote -
Provide a way for IT admins to be notified when a desktop app that is running on a server needs to be updated.
Apps like the Local Data Connector have stopped working if they require an update, this causes issues when not noticed for days with multiple functions within DocuWare like Auto Index and Workflow calculations.

Add Document Link to Upload History by dwdocid
It would be great if the Upload history can include a direct document link, that once click it takes you directly to the document in whatever location it was stored, and also reference in the log the dwdocid.

Fix ODBC behaviour to use default schema for user instead of user schema
The current behaviour of ODBC Local Data Connector is not standard : when a user connects to an ODBC source, it can only currently access the schema with same name as user. ODBC standard is the default set of tables it should have access is defined as the default schema.

Warning before deleting production workflow, or recycle bin for deleted Workflows
Hello all. It would be very helpful if there was a recycle bin for deleted workflows.
Currently it's a little too easy to accidently delete a workflow. When managing workflow versions in the "versions" tab, it turns out that if a user deletes an old version (e.g. version 9 of 12) the workflow designer actually deletes everything, not just version 9 of the workflow, but also production and other old versions.

Avoid opening the browser to sign-in purposes (since 7.10)
Since we are DocuWare integrators, we change our Desktop Apps connection all the time.
Since 7.10, we have been forced to open a browser just to open the WorkFlow designer.
Personally, I don't use my default browser to connect to the client's cloud (I assume I'm not alone in this situation), which means every time Desktop Apps wants to connect, it opens a tab on my default browser and forces me to retype the user/password.
It is time-consuming, and it gives us difficulties in some external communication with other services like SMSMod (untimely opening connection tabs).I know security concerns…

Make Connect to Outlook compatible with Office 2024
I was told to post this here regarding making Connect to Outlook compatible with Office 2024. I feel like this should go for any items that use Office. Perhaps with each new release of DocuWare we should make sure it is compatible with the most current version of Office or at least have it on the schedule to be worked.

I suggest a "reconnect" switch to control that a connection is automatically re-established if it is interrupted
It would be desirable if there was a "reconnect" switch in a future version, which could be used to control that a connection is automatically re-established if it is interrupted - for whatever reason - the Internet line can sometimes fail became. Ideally with a controllable period of time, e.g. to carry out a connection check every 30 or 60 minutes and to restore the standard connection if a connection failure is detected.

Allow a workflow to work with multiple merge forms.
I have forms that complete multiple merge forms. Several of these forms have a name and I use a workflow to combine the first and last name to put the full name on the form. It would be nice if I could do this with 1 workflow rather than a separate workflow for each merge form.

Add the ability to choose which attachments are stored per email when using Connect to Outlook
We would like the ability to choose which attachments are stored when using the email storing feature in Outlook (Connect to Outlook). Often times emails have multiple attachments and we are storing unnecessary items. We have to remove the unnecessary items manually. Presenting us with a box that lists the attachments where we can select each individual item or multiple items to attach would be ideal.

add columns to workflow designer.
When workflow designer opens there is a tab for overview. That tab has a page with columns consisting of File cabinet, Name, Creation date, Versions, Active instances, and Published. Adding columns for applies to form and merge form would be very helpful. I have an enrollment form that completes 14 merge forms. I recently updated it to use table fields and use my workflow to fill in tables that used to be completed by individual fields in the form. A quick look to see workflows associated with that form would have been very helpful to see what needed updating. I…

The "Force SSO" options should actually force SSO
When you setup a user to the option "force SSO" then it should automatically use SSO and not just "force" them to click on "use microsoft" .. if the option is force then it should automatically try to use SSO first..
