    It is very important for legal purposes that Docuware Import and Webscan could put a time stamp to the documents in combination with the "sign document" (document certification) option.

  2. allow for the global setting for all users to open Docuware Viewer with index dialog in a new window by default

    The reason for this is that right now, if we utilize the default setting "Always show DocuWare Viewer in same window", it is possible for a user to have several items in the queue, and viewing one item (by double clicking on it) but actually editing index values for something completely different on the screen. This could result in errors. Many errors.

    If one utilizes the setting to open the viewer with index dialog in a new window, the document rendered for view always is tied to the index values that you see.

  3. Group elements in DocuWare Forms and an "add button" to dynamically "create" fields

    Imagine that Im a technician and require spare parts to fix something... I would need a document with some certain information which would repeat n number of times, i.e. Part Number, Description, Qty... there won't be a fixed number of fields that i have to fill each time I need spare parts.

    The group elements function would allow to wrap PartNumber, Description and Qty to be treated as one, so with the Add button you could add another group of those fields as on requirements

  5. Allow Organizational Admin to Edit Network ID

    It's always been crazy to me the organizational admin user in DocuWare can not edit a Network ID of a user. You have to log into DW administration as the user to do it. That can be an enormous pain with systems with hundreds of users.

  6. Add tool to allow use to create their own signatures just like they are able to create their own baskets.

    Allow users to create their own signatures much like they can create their own baskets without having to go through the DocuWare Administrator.

  7. Improve Auto Indexing fault tolerance on error

    Auto Indexing will go into error state after first seeing connection loss and not re-attempt without manual starting process from DocuWare Administration Utility.
    Allowing for another attempt after a set time-frame would greatly help managing this module as re-starting these processes can become very time intensive.

  8. Create logging process for Predefined Workflows

    There is a need to allow logging so it can be documented that any of the predefined workflows, such as Auto-index Workflows, Deletion Workflow, Export Workflows, and Synchronization Workflows have processed when scheduled.

    This can be imported for multiple types of audits, disaster recovery, and business continuation.

  9. Make improvements to Email Notification

    Email Notifications are extremely limited in what they can do and how they are scheduled. They are also not easy to understand and/or test. I recommend the following improvements.
    1. Allow groups and roles to be assigned to a notification. The whole point of AD synchs with a group is to reduce administration tasks but without the ability to assign groups/roles to notifications, then the admin has to assign users separately OR open a notification job to all users, which is not ideal.
    2. Create an ability for a notification to change a field after execution. This will allow users…

    Thank you for your idea. Right now we are focusing on other topics, so we are not considering this idea for future releases. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.

    Please Note: Apart from the improvement of scheduling options all other functionalities are available in the DocuWare Workflow Manager.

  11. Visual improvements to Workflow Designer

    I would like the ability to reorder Decisions within a task and their outputs, alter the size and shape of activities, and select a bunch of the activities and move them all at once. Right now it is very tedious and time-consuming to design a workflow that is visually clear.

    Thank you for your contribution. We are now working on a new version of the Workflow Designer, which will bring a whole new user experience, so we set this wish to “Planned”.
    I’d like to point out that a couple of things are possible in the meantime, like reordering decision and now also reordering data assignments. Multiselect will come with the new version.
    In case of changing size and shape of the activities, we are not planning to do this currently.
    I’d be happy to learn why and how this would help you in your daily work.

  14. Using the '(ATTACHMENT)' variable in docuware will help a lot to find the proper record

    I have an idea that if docuware uses the '(ATTACHMENT)' variable withing the connect to outlook configuration so it will help us a lot to find the proper record in the docuware system. Because in most of the cases we sent proposal/estimate within an organization to a single personal who is in purchase department and he handle all the proposal/estimate related queries so we can't use the current available variable to find the exact proposal number but if '(ATTACHMENT)' variable is available then we can find exactly the estimate number/proposal number using the estimate/proposal name extracting from the…

  16. Separate the Check Out/Check In and Set As Current Version Rights For File Cabinet Profiles

    Currently the Check Out/Check In and the Set as Current Version rights are bundled together as the "Check Out" right under the File Cabinet Profiles.

    These should be considered as separate rights as we should be able to give users the right to Edit and the ability to set previous versions to current versions without giving the users right to Check Out a document.

  17. Add basket level alerts.

    I'd like it so that if a basket reaches over a certain amount of documents (or total file size) it'll email a person of choice to alert them to it. So if we have an import job that grabs files from a network location and uploads them into a "pending" basket, if it gets over say 50 it'll email someone's supervisor to alert that the documents aren't being processed timely.

  18. Would like to be able to find a Web basket by name on the server

    Sometimes when trouble shooting it would be a help to know the name of the document tray when looking at the file folders on the server. We used to be able to do that on older versions. Our site recently migrated to 6.6 from 5.1b and all the web baskets have the same folder name with just a number appended. Ex. DWWebBas.000047 instead of "Accounting"

  19. Ability to remove functions from right-click menu in web basket/document tray

    I would like to be able to remove "Store Automatically" from certain users' web basket/tray when right-clicking on a document. Customer needs to have users change index entries when storing, and they don't want any way for the user not to change the entries.

  20. Notification

    A document stored in the file cabinet ready for email notification. (so in the notification table). A user logs in during the day and approves invoice randomly… At 4pm (or whatever time you assign) however, he will still get an email notification to let him know that he has invoices to approve even though he has already completed his action. It would be good if we could remove this. What do you think?
