  1. allow a data assignment to a table field in a workflow

    I have a table field that has therapy evaluations and dates that need to be filled in by individual therapists. Unfortunately, I can not make the field required because then the first therapist would have to enter the dates for all the other evaluations that may not have been done yet by other therapists. So then I have therapists that just hit confirm on the workflow and the date is never entered. I would like to be able to automatically enter the current date if that field is blank but in the assign data to indexes table fields are not…

  2. Notes for Workflow changes

    Each time you (save and) publish a workflow you should be able to enter what has changed in a textfield. If multiple people give support for a client and they have to check the workflow designer to see what has changed, it'd be nice to know what happened in each version instead of manually checking the current and previous version.

    If the 'shape' of the workflow is the same but the contents of some activities have changed, you have to check all activities of both versions one by one to find the difference.

  3. Change where the SID is stored for Desktop Apps when using the Cloud version

    Would it be possible to change the “secure” user folder area that contains the SID folders from %programdata%\Docuware\Desktop\Secure and move that into a user area maybe under %appdata%\Roaming? The reason to do this is because the user data ends up being placed outside of areas that can be virtualized, leading to the docuware software not retaining the connection when utilizing fresh desktops.

  4. Incompatibility with citrix multiple vda

    In our company we have implemented Citrix for desktops with multiple servers that are responsible for offering sessions to users in a balanced way. The problem comes from saving the user data in %programdata% and not in the user profile. When the user logs in to another machine or it is regerated, we have to reconnect the desktop apps and configure the folder imports. It is impossible to work this way. The "easy" solution would be to bring the user information to your profile.

  5. reassign workflow

    Being able to change/save the default settings in the Reassign Workflow window would be beneficial. Every time we reassign a task, the email reminder needs to be unchecked. We would like to be able to adjust/save the default settings for this window in the user preferences.

  6. Add ability to import the contents of .ZIP files.

    If you receive an email that is automatically set to import attached pdfs, it would be helpful to import the contents within a ZIP file, if they are pdfs. Client receives invoices from vendor in ZIP format as they receive a lot of invoices at the same time.

  7. Ability to lock positions for form fields

    I would like the ability to lock positions for form fields. I have some hidden fields and when I run the form one of the visible fields moves over the location where the hidden fields are. I want it in a specific place and not to move.

  8. edit&send : upload files when they are closed

    If you open multiple Excel files (stored in a file cabinet) through the edit option in the viewer they are updated in DocuWare only when you close excel app but not when you close the file. We often lose data. It would also be interresting to upload the files not only when we close the app but also when we save changes just like when the file is in the document tray.

  9. Download diganostic data to simplify troubleshooting and support process

    Offer a simplified solution to gathering all debug data available on the on premise server.

    Currently we need to trawl through various file structures to retrieve the various log files that could relate to an issue whenever we escalate another issue to support.

    Would be nice if the Admin tool offered a way to zip up debug files and place them somewhere on the server

  10. Insert or Append

    I believe it would be very useful to have the ability to open an existing document and have the option to Insert (Before or After) a page and the ability to Append files. This would easily allow a user to replace an outdated or incorrectly scanned page or Append additional files to a document. Having to unclip, scan, insert, resort, and clip files is VERY annoying to all of our users.

  11. DocuWare Desktop Needs To Store Information On When A Folder Configuration With An Interval Set Runs

    The Document Processing Folder/Import configuration can be configured to run at a regular interval. Although, to set the time for it to run, one must run it for the first time when it is supposed to run for it to be scheduled to run. Unfortunately, DocuWare Desktop cannot record the time it last ran.

    As a result, if DocuWare has to be restarted it has no way to know when to run. Therefore, since the job is active, it runs, which disrupts the schedule. SInce the Interval can be set, DocuWare Desktop should be able to honor the Interval when…

  12. Provide some Error messages on the Desktop Uploading.

    It's come to my attention that if you are pointing a connection to a local folder to upload into a DW instance. If the agent stops there doesn't appear to be any error messages either pop up in the app or via the windows notification pane. (the app is installed on a Server OS is this make any difference) this means as a user we have no idea as to why something has failed. it would be very useful to see a message of be able to be pointed to a log perhaps to see the messages as try and…

    Enable Outlook Signature to attach automatically when sending from Docuware Web app opposed to manually attaching with the Signature button. Even if you have a signature enabled it will not attach your signature when sending from Docuware.

  15. Clean Wipe Tool

    Be great to have a clean wipe tool to help with upgrade/reinstallation problems due to corrupted installs on client machines. This can often be very time consuming when problems arise and be great to have a tool to fully do a clean uninstall of the Desktop Apps (remove all file locations and registry items).

  16. Hyperlinks on documents before being sent to DocuWare Printer should not turn to Text

    When printing with DocuWare printer all hyperlinks on a document turn to text. Many customers ask that it should stay as hyperlinks.

  18. Backward Compatibility

    If you support multiple DW environments, you're bound to get caught in between versions of Cloud. Half your customers on the older version, half on the newer version, and whichever one you're working on will inevitably be the wrong version of Desktop Apps. Wouldn't it be great if the latest version was backward compatible? I think so.

  19. Certificates not installed locally. Centralized installation

    It is normal for company certificates to be installed centrally, not locally.
    It is essential that DocuWare be able to use these centralized certificates, for example "RedTrust" https://redtrust.com/
    It is not always possible to use a locally installed certificate.

  20. Know if a document is signed with a certificate

    It is important that from the viewer there was an indicative mark or from the "document processing" template a field of the filing cabinet could be indicated that would take a value depending on the result of the signature.
    In version 5.1, there was a mark in the viewer that indicated if a document was signed with a certificate.
