  1. Devellope digital signing of documents with PKI or other certificates

    It's getting more and more a demand from regulation or goverment that the documents can be signed by one or more users. Docuware has no feature to support this.
    We think it's a nessecery thing to be able to sign document this way.

  2. Connect to Outlook: Process Downloaded Attachments through an Import Configuration

    Often "standardised" documents are received in an email inbox. currently there is no seamless method to run these documents through a pre-configured import configuration to identify, split and autoindex the document. Currently Emails, Attachments and/or Emails+Attachments can only be stored in a Tray or Cabinet, thus missing the processing advantage.

    Hello,
    thank you very much for your input. We are going to discuss and evaluate this idea.

    Right now – even if it is not seamless – you can already use the DocuWare Import functionality if you drag and drop Attachments/E-Mails to an Import folder or use the “Store As” function from Outlook.

    Filter file names from import folder. For example i want to exclude file names that contain "TMP".

  4. Add an "Attach from DocuWare" button to the Outlook Ribbon

    In Connect to Outlook, there is no way to search for a document when replying to an e-mail. For example: If I receive an e-mail from a customer requesting a copy of their contract. I click “reply” to this e-mail but the only way to attach the contract is to have a Windows Explorer search tree establish. However, using the Windows Explorer tree view is dependent on me knowing exactly where the contract is located in the folder structure, or which version of the contract is the correct one.

  5. Split document if a document is rotated 180 degrees

    As an alternative to Barcodes, if a page is rotated 180 degrees it should be split.

  6. Optinal notification when saving from DocuWare Explorer Client

    When saving with the DocuWare explorer, the notification popup should be optional maybe with a choice of a non untrusive popup like the DocuWare desktop popup.

  7. Add Driveletter to the DocuWare Explorer Client

    If a driveletter could be assigned the DocuWare explorer client, shortcuts could be created and it would be showed as a normal drive, it would be easier for the customers and you could use scripting to transfer files and so on. It would not differ from a normal drive.

  8. Connect 2 Outlook - Ability to open search in Outlook client instead of Outlook

    When using a search in Connect 2 Outlook, the list is opened in Outlook. If many results are shown, and the customer wants a better overview it could be nice to be able to open the search directly in the DocuWare Client so you have the viewer ability and a better overview.

  9. Create info logs

    We can see the import configuration, but we don't know who is using it or where. It would be great to have a running log file that contained details like:
    8/8/2017 - user TGROESCHL enabled "To Doc Tray" import configuration on PC2
    8/9/2017 - user TWEEMS enabled "To File Cabinet" import configuration on PC13

    That would tell me what the pc/server name is and also which user the desktop apps are connected as.
    Could even take it a step further by recording job details, like "8 page document successfully submitted 8/9/2017 14:36:05" or "5 page document failed to submit 8/9/2017…

  10. Connect to Outlook only stores attachments that are 1 level deep

    We often receive emails that are forwarded as attachments and those attached emails also have attachments on them. Connect to Outlook will only store the first level of attachments. We would like to see the ability to store multiple level of attachments.That way the forwarded email and also all attachments on that forwarded email are stored in Outlook.

  11. Automatically update the Desktop Apps

    I have many users that don't always notice when they have pending Desktop Apps updates and end up putting in support tickets for issues the update would resolve. Can you provide an option at least for the updates to install automatically?

  12. connect to outlook

    In Connect to Outlook, when using the "Send and Store" button, the user should be prompted to choose a cabinet. I know you can click near the arrow on the send and store button to get a list of cabinets, but users are just clicking the button and then a storage dialog pops up, but they have no idea which dialog it is or where they are storing to. Would be nice if when you click Send and Store, you get a choice of storage dialogs no matter where you click on the button.

  13. Specify Destination for failed identification

    I should be able to tell an Import folder what Document Tray to use if an import fails. This would allow failed jobs to go to a document tray used by multiple people, where they could be taken care of at a greater speed.

  14. Desktop Apps Port usage modification

    Provide the ability to modify the ports that desktop apps are using internally. Currently having issues with 8090 and 8091 being locked by McAfee which requires IT intervention to modify those throughout the enterprise in order to run desktop apps successfully.
    If 8090 and 8091 could be modified on install in a similar manner as the individual servers, it would eliminate an enterprise-wide headache.

  15. Regular Expressions for Processing Data in Import Configurations

    It would be very nice to be able to use a regular expression when cutting out text in readout areas while assigning to index fields. The current options are very limited, and present some problems in processing.

  16. Add Scan/Upload Management Capability Into Docuware Desktop Apps Scan Feature

    SYMPTOM: When the user scans and clicks the upload button the program shows a message "Your document is being created and uploaded" For no apparent reason this process hangs, and, if left alone will run indefinitely.

    PROBLEM: The symptom above effectively cripples any further SCAN & UPLOAD processing on the computer until a manual intervention is performed.

    SOLUTION: When this happens, and it has happened to a number of different customers over the course of the last three months,and longer, we have taken the steps outlined here:

  17. To review the file size of scanned images before uploading...

    I encounter after scanning my images, that I am guessing how big my file size is. I have guessed wrong on many occasions and I then get an error "reached my maximum file size and cannot exceed 300,000 kb." There should be option that I can review how big my file size of the scanned images before hitting the upload button. That way I am not wasting my time of re-scanning the documents again.

  18. Import jobs keep going or autorestart after failure

    Whenever an import job fails for whatever reason, that job stops importing altogether and you have to manually go in there and restart the failed job. This is not ideal as I am not always able to connect with the customer right away to restart the jobs, so there might be a time period where users are not getting any documents imported. It would be great if the import job didn't stop when it failed and maybe somehow could send an email notification to the admin but still kept going. Or autorestart after a certain period, whatever makes the most…

  19. Failed Import Jobs to Document Tray - Nonsense!

    In DocuWare 6.8 when I use the IMPORT component of Desktop Apps to run an 1000+ file import from a specified source directory, I don't have to worry if the entire job fails because they go to a subdirectory within my source directory named "Failed" by default. Therefore, it is easy to rerun that job. However, in DocuWare 6.9, failed job files by default go to a document tray. The absolute worst place to manage 1000s of files. WHY! Please either make it so you can select a document tray as a source for the import job, or bring back…

  20. Make it possible to size the docuware scan screen smaller. Ability to move it left without it expanding to full screen
