  1. Documents in Stopped Workflows

    The ability to be able to automatically update an index field of a document went the document has gone through a workflow, errors out, and you manually stop the workflow. We have a customer that scans so many invoices that if there is an error in one of the workflows, we could get 25 failed tasks before the error is updated. And then, they have to manually stop all of those workflows and resubmit the invoice, creating duplicate entries. But if when the workflow was stopped, an index field could be updated, we could use a deletion policy to delete…

  3. Add the ability to overwrite autofilled value in Forms

    As of DW 7.6 there is an option to autofill values based on select lists, but once the autofill values are entered/filtered based on a specific field you have to manually delete the values otherwise new correct values are not autofilled when you change the value of the specific field they are based on ...

  4. Allow complex conditions for trigger a Worfklow or in a "Wait for event" of WFM

    It's great to be able to generate Workflow triggers and "Wait for event" based on conditions that contain a combination of AND and OR such as we can use for example in notifications, autoindexs or tasklists for example:

    (Status = "NEW" AND (DocType = "01" OR Doctype = "02")) OR (Customerid > 0 and Customerid <5)

  5. assign a form field as a global variable

    I want to assign a form field that is not indexed as a global variable in Workflow Designer. I can't do that unless it is an index entry.

    These fields on the form need to be changeable, but do not need to be indexed.

  6. Update version of Apache Tomcat installed for Full-Text

    Tomcat version 9.0.16 is installed by default. A newer version such as 9.0.63 should be used instead so that manual updates are not necessary.

  7. Extract Specific pages from a document then send as email/or store as new documents

    We have a PDF document that contains multiple pages that is scanned as a whole to DocuWare, from this Document, The requirement is that we send only Page 3 to the Customer, Send Pages 2-end of document to Vendor, and Page 1 stored back in DocuWare as a separate document.

    It would be great if we could have PDF manipulation tools in Workflow that would allow us to do us, without having to develop c# tools for this purpose.

  8. Simplify setting up SSL for use with DocuWare

    With DW 7.6 requiring the use of SSL, the ADP's need a simpler way to set this up for our customers. It is concerning that we have to open up a hole from the Internet to each DocuWare server, just to use a SSL certificate to plug the aforementioned hole.

    I was reading about a hardware vendor who purchased a SSL Certificate and then each of his customers could use his certificate by adding a 'prefix' to his domain URL, i.e. peters.docuware.com.

    I believe that would eliminate the need for each DocuWare server to be internet-facing, just to use SSL

  9. Could we get an email alert when one of the autoindexing jobs errors out?

    Could we get an email alert when one of the autoindexing jobs errors out? It would be nice to be proactive in fixing these issues without waiting for users to report.

  10. Allow URL parameters in DocuWare Forms

    Since each field in a DocuWare Form has an ID it would be very handy to be able to pass data to that field via a URL parameter.

    If I had a field on a form with the ID of "Location" I'd like to be able to call that form with a specific location value. The form would then load with that field already prefilled with that value. Something like this:

  11. Make a minimum and maximum value possible for a numeric field

    In a form it is possible to configure a minumum and maximum value for a numeric field. Please make this also possible in the webclient store and edit dialogs

  12. Document history within tasks

    If you want to view document history by clicking on it in tasks, you will only see history for that particular workflow. It would be great to see whole document history even if I want to watch it in tasks.

  13. Make licence assignment page searchable by users

    When you are in a administration view, managing licences, it would be nice to have an option to search users by name. If you can't have UI for that, at least enable browser search function, so we can quickly find the person who needs licence change.

  14. Enable AutoIndex To Write Back To CSV Files Without A Header Row

    AutoIndex will write back to CSV files with a header row. It also writes back to CSV files without a header row; however, it writes back row 1's data to row 2, row 2 to row 3, etc. Then it doesn't write back the last row.

    AutoIndex can support a CSV without a header row. Therefore, AutoIndex should be able to properly write back to a CSV file that doesn't have a header row. Since AutoIndex doesn't properly write back to CSV files without a header, this is one way the configuration of DocuWare can be improved.

  15. Sort order in external select lists

    In the data connector or external list configuration allow the ability to set the sort order by one or more fields in the data connection. Allow workflow designer or sys admin to define or modify the SQL query used to pull the data for the external select list to use WHERE and ORDER BY clauses.

  16. gMSA Support

    Docuware should urgently support gMSA (Group Managed Service Accounts). It´s a basic securty feature since Windows Server 2012. Misconfigured service accounts are a common problem, as not many companies though even know how dangerous is to keep them misconfigured.

  17. Hide Uneeded Store Dialogs in Trays

    Allow for store dialogs to be specifically hidden (possibly by File Cabinet reference) via a configuration within the tray.

    For example:
    The system has an Accounts Payable tray, which an administrator user is using, this tray allows them to see store dialogs for HR aswell.

    However, with the proposed idea you could turn off these extra store dialogs to reduce user error

    Allow Admin to emulate a user to test permissions viewing, and availability of dialogs/stamps etc.

    Don't allow us to apply or modify anything but at least the ability to check the avalibilityof items/lists/tasks/stamps/dialogs everything assigned via a Role/Functional Profile etc.

  19. New password request email in the user's language

    Currently, when a new user is created, a request email is sent to set the password in the language of the administrator who creates it.

    We suggest that in the new user registration form, the user's language selector is included, and that the email is sent in the language selected for the user.

  20. Grant access to create Baskets and File Cabinets to the API

    When working within the API you have the ability to create users and assign them groups and roles. However, you still have to manually create Baskets for the users to use.

    By the same token, now that you are able to export and import a valid XML for a FIle Cabinet to speed up creation, you should be able to create a method to allow passing of an XML (or FC class).

    Once the idea for export/import Workflows is completed, it would be nice to have this functionality for that as well, as it will significantly speed up moving data…
