  1. Restore the ability to do an "OR" search in the web client when searching more than one index

    The windows client had radio buttons for "And" and "OR" on the search dialog when entering values on more than one index. Example: Email file cabinet has a To index and a From index. I want to search for emails To or From an individual.

  2. Intelligent Indexing & Select Lists

    Intelligent Indexing and Select Lists needs to be linked in some way.

    Currently when using intelligent indexing with something like Supplier Name as a select List only field it will pick up the customer name from the invoice but not match this name to the name in the select list. This then stops us from being able to store the document automatically.

    If the field is a select list only field, some way on linking the customer names to what Intel Index finds would be great.

  4. Allow the ability to delete stamps and leave the data in the log.

    We have operating procedures that get modified monthly and have to go through an approval process. We are accumulating pages and pages of approval stamps on the end of our procedures. Also, when we check out a document to insert a photo, for example, it pushes the pages down and the stamps stay in place and cover the text of the document. It looks sloppy and unprofessional to auditors and customers. We need a better solution for multiple stamps on documents in file cabinets that use revision control.

  5. Accounting people want to type dollar amount without DOT ("."). We had this on 6.0 but not 6.9.

    Accounting people used to type dollar amount without "." (DOT). For example, 12345 will show as $123.45. Old 6.0 version had this but not 6.9. Is it easy to turn this function back on? Thanks.

  7. Allow attachments that are sent to outlook from web client to be copy/pasted into another active email thread without having to save locally

    In outlook, you can copy/paste attachments from 1 open email thread to another without saving locally first. When sending attachments to outlook via the web client, all other outlook windows are locked (disabled), forcing you to save the attachments locally before moving them to various other emails.

    Thank you for your idea. Right now we are focusing on other topics, so we are not considering this idea for future releases. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.

    If triggering a new mail from outside of Outlook there is no possibility to copy and paste attachments. Try this with the windows functionality of “Send to email” from the Windows Explorer.

  8. I suggest to extend the color indicators by fill levels

    Documents and index fields are marked with a color indicator that is either gree, yellow or red. This color represents how confident the service is for a proposed index value.

    The color green actually represents a confidence range between 75% and 100% - there is no difference visible: 76% as well as 95% result in a green indicator.

    The idea is to extend the color indicators by fill levels (as known i.e. from the battery status of a mobile phone), which would allow to distinguish the originating confidence between same-colored index fields and/or documents.

  9. ADD AUTOINDEX JOBS TO DOCUMENT HISTORY

    PLEASE ADD THE AUTOINDEX JOB HISTORY TO THE DOCUMENT HISTORY INFORMATION. ATTACHED THE SIMPLE IDEA.

    THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOW IF/WHAT/WHEN AUTOINDEX HAS RAN, AND WHAT IT HAS DONE.

  10. Allow Documents To Be Placed in the Tray In The Order In Which They Were Selected

    When adding files to a tray from a result view or importing, the documents will not keep the order in which they entered the tray.
    This was a feature of the Windows client. They were added to the Basket Synchronously. With the web client they are added Asynchronously and if a larger file takes more processing in the queue it will go in later. Also the modification time seems to be based on minutes rather than the "milliseconds since Epoch to date". This also throws them out of order.

  11. Retain original file format in merge forms

    For example if you use a word doc as the document to accept merge data into then store as a word doc and not convert to a pdf. Thereby enabling edit capability going forward.

  12. Better usage of the open Microsoft Office format

    The new Microsoft Office formats are open and formatted with XML. It would be nice to use this better, for example with comparison of two documents (Regarding versioning) or for automatic indexing for known documents. The index values could be read directly in the XML data. Most documents are created with the Microsoft Office package.

  13. Split the print and save security

    Split the security for printing and saving within the exporting control. Our company must print the latest technical documentation to deliver with the final product but would like to block the ability for employees to save the content to their local drives.

    Right now we are focusing on other topics, so we are not considering this idea for future releases. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.
    Printing is always done by converting the document to PDF, and opening in a PDF viewer for printing. Technically the user has now the PDF file and can save it by himself. Right splitting would result in no difference.

  14. Select "all" choice

    Need a “select all” button so I can clear out/delete my tray after I’m done working. For example: I had to copy an entire file section for the state. I had to go through the file page by page to separate out the different documents so only the pages that belonged together were in that document. I split out the next one and so on.   15. Print/Download without annotations

    When you print or download a document it should be possible to only give the user one option with annotations. For example: Users should be only allowed to download/print documents WITH annotations so they can't even see the option to print/download without annotations.

  16. Bring back the Print Result List button

    Previous versions of the thick client had a Print Result List button that would print a result list directly to a printer. I have customers that use this to report on recently stored documents. Now they have several more steps to work around this missing button.
    The older Thick client -
    1. Search for documents.
    2. Click button to print result list. - - It would be printed directly to a printer. (In a readable format.)

    The Web Client.
    1. Search for documents.
    2. Click button and select copy to CSV.
    3. Open CSV in excel.
    4. Select first Column.…

  17. Allow us to create dynamic store dialogues

    I think it would be great if you could allow us to create dynamic store dialogues which could alter their layout depending on the document type chosen (or any other pre defined field for that matter).

    For example, lets define a "key" field of a file cabinet store dialogue and lets say its the "document type" and we also give this a predefined select list. Then we may have many other fields of this cabinet but not all of these other fields may relate to each of the possible document types. It would be very useful and help guide the…

  18. same filecabinet dialog

    I want the ability to share dialog configuration in Search, Store, Result view (index dialog).

    For example, whenever I assign a select list to a field, I have to configure in every single dialog. Same when configuring other kind of restrictions and field ordering.

    Current way of configuring allows administrator to commit mistakes when creating or updating dialogs configurations when they want to have them all alike.

  20. Restore the ability to Attach, Delete, or Skip when pre-indexing

    Previous versions of DocuWare (Windows Client) allowed the user to essentially staple pages to a document when in the Storage Mask. The user would select a group of documents from a Basket and drag them to a store dialog, and click the pre-indexing check box. When clicked, this would enable three new buttons, Attach, Delete and Skip. This allowed the user to construct documents by attaching, deleting or skipping pages while indexing, without having to go back to a basket or tray.
