close the activity with the Enter key on the keyboard
If I have to validate multiple documents and modify indexes, it wolud be nice that after last index entry I can close the activity with the enter key.
knowing that it could be dangerous in approval flows,

Bring back the ability to Attach, Delete, or Skip a page when pre-indexing in a tray
The Windows Client allowed the user to essentially staple pages to a document when pre-indexing in the Storage Mask. You could select a group of scanned pages in a Basket, drag them to a store dialog, and click the pre-indexing check box. When clicked, this would enable three new buttons, Attach, Delete and Skip. This allowed the user to construct documents by attaching, deleting or skipping pages while indexing, without having to go back to a basket or tray. This was a big time saver in the Windows Client, and a big time waster when trying to accomplish the same…

Allow changing real file name during Copy To
Currently, if I have a document that I might use as a template for a new document and I perform a "Copy To" operation, the base file name will remain the same. This makes it impossible to edit two resulting documents side by side in an editor such as Word or Excel because their base filename is identical.
Either the file should be opened as the "File Name" index, or the option to change the file name during "Copy To" needs to allow the base file name to be specified.

Make it possible to rename values in keyword fields
In the Windows client a user could go to the Info box and select a keyword value and rename it very easily. In the Web client a user must delete and recreate a value. This can be very difficult if there are several keyword values associated to the field and they have several characters.

Have field filled with substring or concatenation of other field
Hello,
It could be nice if we can extract a substring of a field to fill another field. I.E.: Invoice has a date as an index. Have the possibility to create 2 index (year and month) for extracting the year and the month. This two new fields could be use in the Windows Explorer view to group invoice by year and month for example.

DATABASE LOOKUP
This issue has been posted a lot of different ways but nothing has happened with it. I know Docuware has come up with their version of autoindexing and don't seem to understand why so many other softwares have standardize how it is done. You create a odbc connection and assign it to a data entry textbox. When someone keys a value and hits enter, it will populate all the other fields. This is the way it has always been done. Provide different sort settings for keyword fields
It seems to be the case, that if an MSSQL Database (DocuWare Cloud) is used, keyword field entries are automatically sorted in an alphabetical order after applying changes to them.
This is not the case for MySQL Databases. Sometimes the order/sorting of the entered values are important for the customer or special use cases. It would be very nice to have possibilites to select how or if the entered values should be sort/ordered.5 votes -
AutoIndex with Docid
Add the DOCID field in the list of system fields that can be assigned when doing an AutoIndex. To be able to assign this value to a metadata ot fhe document or to be able to use it in BB.DD connections in order to wirtwe it in the local tables.

More than one field shown in Select Lists
Enable to have select list with two columns, one for ID and another for description (for example list of partners). It is easier for user to select among description that among 8000 partner IDs.

Allow us to create dynamic store dialogues
I think it would be great if you could allow us to create dynamic store dialogues which could alter their layout depending on the document type chosen (or any other pre defined field for that matter).
For example, lets define a "key" field of a file cabinet store dialogue and lets say its the "document type" and we also give this a predefined select list. Then we may have many other fields of this cabinet but not all of these other fields may relate to each of the possible document types. It would be very useful and help guide the…

Check for for unique while entering value
It's frustrating if you populate the store dialog with all the data and after you hit store, you get the notification that the invoice is already stored.
It would save a lot of time if I am notified already while entering e.g. the invoice number that there is already an invoice with this number.

Add the ability to use regex expressionsthe print and import template fields are looking for.
When you define a field in the print and import template to read something on the document, it would be good to choose the type of data that you are looking for, or even better allowing the use of regex expressions. This way you could have a larger search area in case the page shifts or there is small differences in the document layout, but you would be guaranteed to find the data you are looking for. This would be good for indexing and for document identification.

Ability to type in multiple index entries to a keyword field at once
There should be a way to add multiple entries separated by a delimiter when adding entries to a keyword field. Currently you have to add them one by one hitting the + in between. This is horrible for the user when they have 50 plus entries. There are ways to do this in the background with a comma delimited load file so there should be a way to do this via the Web Client.

I suggest that you allow rearranging index fields on the "edit index field" screen.
Currently, the list of index fields shown on the "edit index field" screen are in order of when they were created. It would be great to allow rearranging of the list so they are in a more user friendly order, and not just "this is how I added them into Docuware" order.

Reset on Store Dialog keeps previous index entries ... Add a clear all option
Reset in DW6 resets changes made to preindexed index entries (this is a good feature) -- Reset in DW5 removed all of the data in the index fields. Suggest adding the option to do the same in DW6 ... such as adding a clear entries button.
