  1. Enable OCR for automatic recognition of non-PDF documents in DW Import

    When creating a new Import configuration you can use OCR for setting up automatic recognition as well as splitting and indexing, but only on PDFs. Since users use Import for more than just PDFs it would be great if that was available, since DocuWare routinely OCR's a stunning number of document types in other areas of the application (ie. point-and-click indexing, full-text search indexing...)

    It,s a absolute must have for compagnies to automaticly store data or attach data to existing files in an archive.

  3. Call DW Desktop scanning for integration

    We are doing many integrations with DocuWare; in many cases the user would like to scan and store documents from within their applications.
    I suggest to introduce methods where the user will call a certain scanning settings to scan and store documents "usually to file cabinet". this should have the ability to get the passed indexing criteria from the application.

    I believe this should be introduced to work via platform services and Smart Connect. it will be also great if it could technically work via URL integration.

  4. Allow a workflow to work with multiple merge forms.

    I have forms that complete multiple merge forms. Several of these forms have a name and I use a workflow to combine the first and last name to put the full name on the form. It would be nice if I could do this with 1 workflow rather than a separate workflow for each merge form.

  5. add columns to workflow designer.

    When workflow designer opens there is a tab for overview. That tab has a page with columns consisting of File cabinet, Name, Creation date, Versions, Active instances, and Published. Adding columns for applies to form and merge form would be very helpful. I have an enrollment form that completes 14 merge forms. I recently updated it to use table fields and use my workflow to fill in tables that used to be completed by individual fields in the form. A quick look to see workflows associated with that form would have been very helpful to see what needed updating. I…

  7. Connect to Outlook - add Explorer Client Frame to Drag-n-drop emails/attachments to store documents

    Add a Explorer Client frame in outlook, where you can navigate to your particular file cabinet with defined structure, allowing you to drag-n-drop an email and/or attachment directly onto it - with a store dialog being presented for indexing.

  8. Instant execution of a scheduled workflow

    A possibility to execute a scheduled workflow instantly. This could be an option in the Workflow Designer. It is not very optimal when you have to reschedule a workflow again and again when testing the workflow functionality. Apart from testing, the instant execution button would be beneficial in many other cases as well.

  9. Add ability to import the contents of .ZIP files.

    If you receive an email that is automatically set to import attached pdfs, it would be helpful to import the contents within a ZIP file, if they are pdfs. Client receives invoices from vendor in ZIP format as they receive a lot of invoices at the same time.

  10. DocuWare Cloud Desktop Apps has to support install on AWS EC2 environment.

    Currently, Desktop Apps is not supported for AWS EC2 environment.

    As our customers, they need to prepare a Client PC for folder monitoring. As a customer's IT policy in their company, a terminal PC that always starts cannot install on company.
    They want to have a PC for that in a cloud such as AWS outside the company.

  11. Change Log Collector, it should collect all current log files

    Currently when I open a support case with DocuWare I am always asked to add log files. I do not always remember where they are. It is troublesome to always have to navigate and select the correct log files.
    The Log Collector provided by DocuWare only collects files from DocuWare Desktop Apps. Wouldn't it be possible to collect all logfiles within the last 24 hours?
    Sometimes I have issues with Local Data Connector, sometimes I have problems with Auto-Index. I would like to have one way how I can provide all relevant information to DocuWare support.

  12. basket per import job if document cannot be filed due to mandatory fields/conditions

    Hello
    it should be possible to set an "error basket" per import job (configuration) in the desktop app, in which documents are stored which cannot be stored in the archive due to unfilled mandatory fields or other errors.

    Currently, all import job use the user's default basket.

  13. Option to control email notifications generated by Directory User Synchronization

    Every time the Directory User Synchronization Desktop App creates a new User it will send an email to the user, requesting the user to set a DocuWare password.

    Several problems with the current behavior:
    The Tool does not contain any warning that this email is sent to the user.
    When using Active Directoy Single Sing On, there is no need for the user to even set this password.
    When running a test and a production system, there is no way to know which system the mail is from.

  14. I suggest that you add a search option in the Desktop apps program.

    Have the ability to search in the Import jobs within Desktop Apps. We have many locations with multiple different import jobs. Trying to find the import job that you need to change takes a lot of time scrolling though them.

  15. Customized Store Buttons

    We have multiple store dialogs that we use frequently every day. Would love to have customized store buttons in the Connect to Outlook that I can set with my "go-to" store dialogs so I don't have to constantly switch back and forth. Also, individuals could pick their individual favorites, as different people use different functions frequently.

  16. Allow to use Index Cleaner in DocuWare Cloud systems

    Index Cleaner is a very useful tool but right now is not enable to use in DocuWare Cloud systems, so it would be great can use it with the Cloud Systems.

  17. Preview Windows capability in WEC

    For documents stored on a local machine, users are able to preview the document by hitting the 'View' option in File Explorer and then selecting 'Preview plane'. Once a document is selected, a preview is displayed, which allows the user to now have to open the document to read it.

    This would be a nice feature for WEC if users didn't have to:
    1) Download and open the file
    2) Open the file in Web Viewer

    Please "OR" the values retrieved in an SC List Readout Area.

    If you have two Readout areas on a form (A & B) SmartConnect will (automatically) "AND" the values (A AND B) to retrieve the correct record/document from the database. BUT if one of the Readout areas is a "List" of values (B,C,D, etc)... it breaks. It SHOULD (A AND (B OR C OR D)). This functionality is present in the standard search dialog...

  19. can we name our documents before scanning so that we can find it easily in our tray

    We were able to name our documents in Fortis before scanning but don't seem to be able to do so with DocuWare. It makes it easier to find a document in your intray without opening up each one.

  20. Connect to Outlook storing using selective select list

    Customer currently stores documents from the tray and uses selective select lists for indexing. However when the customer does a store using connect to outlook they are not presented with that as an option. Since it is not there they are forced to put the email in a tray and store from there to access the select list and extra steps. Having it available right out of outlook would speed up there process and maintain indexing consistency which is very important.
