record the store dialog used in the audit report
It would be nice if GUID of store dialog used for storing documens were registered in audit reports or in document history

Ability to change the color of the font and the outlined of the answer field.
The font answers are to light and hard to read. If would had the ability to change the color of the font it would be easier for end user to read the form.

Enable Administrator to see document trays of all users
Use Case Example:
A file cabinet to which user-created document trays are assigned is to be deleted. The administrator has no permissions on these trays, so it is impossible for the administrator to find out which baskets these are (unless via the database).
Even without administering right, it should be possible for administrators to find out which document trays exist and which users they are assigned to.

Remember the last view settings
Please save the last view settings for users, and not choose the default every single time we access screens like forms, document processing, file cabinets, indexing etc... its a simple tweak that could save millions of clics!

Improved Activation Rules
The rules for automatic activation of a workflow should allow the adminsitrator to be more specific. Now you can only have AND operators.
The rule configuration for permissions is perfect, and would love to see more systemwide adoption of it.
It allows you to be as simple or specific as needed.

Always show ALL fields of a dialog in the document processing module
Abitily to index fields in the document processing module, even if the store dialog chosen has them hidden. This works perfectly like this when indexing forms.

Add data validation to store dialog
Have the ability to make validations and rules to a store dialog. It is important to prevent storing duplicated invoices for example.
The REQUIRED or not field is very basic validation. Forms already has field validation.

Dynamic Store Dialog
Ability to change the store dialog dynamically based on the fields. For example the document type. Forms already has some dynamic fields based on others, and is very helpful. This would reduce the need to have many different store dialogs for each type of document.

Abitily to have a Result Dialog or another, BASED ON RULES. This would display the necessary metadata for different document types. Contracts, Invoices...

Add a logout button for internal forms.
When a user opens a form on their mobile they are asked to login but from then on if they do not clear their cookies they are automatically logged in. I would like the option to add a log out button in order to close the session.
this way by forcing a login we can do 2 things one secure the form when on a mobile, and two we can pre-fill the username from the login in a required field which can then be used in DW to generate workflows once it is in the cabinet. It also facilitates the…

Allow selection of Dialogs and profiles when a new field is created
You should allow the selection of dialogs and profiles when creating a new field. The field being only assigned to the standard dialogs it's not enough when costumers have 30+ profiles, 30+ dialogs and 50+ tasklists.

Show Next Run Time in Autoindex
In addition to the current "Last Run" time shown in the overview, add a column that shows the next time a job is scheduled to run. This is was available in previous versions of DocuWare. I find it helpful to view when an autoindex job will run so my scheduled jobs are not all running at the same time.

Add a control to manage the 'Name' column in the folder view
In the Folder view there is a 'Name' column which is populated with the file name of the document that's been stored.
This 'Name' field isn't listed in the filing cabinet as a database field and you can't seem to be able to hide it or control it in any way.
Could this be added to the index values as a database field so it can be controlled and maybe utilised in some way, or potentially changed or set when storing documents either via an API call or manually.1 vote -
SmartConnect Dual Monitor Engine - Target Window Functionality
While using SmartSearch within SmartConnect (via button, readout area, and anchor), it would be helpful if DocuWare could recognize the targeted window, and not rely on anchor data to correctly read out a certain index value.
This would allow centralized buttons and remove the need for DocuWare to render buttons which may slow down one's system, or even spawn rouge buttons.

Add Portrait and Landscape options on Forms. If the lines are too wide they are compressed to fit into the portrait format.

2 votesThank you for your idea. Right now we are focusing on other topics, so we are not considering this idea for future releases. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.
But one notice on that: Try using landscape merge forms to receive a document in landscape format.

Number Group Limit
Setting a number group limit would be nice to keep track of page numbers on a fixed form.
For example, setting a number group to start at 1, having a limit of 5, would work like this:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 1, 2, ...

Allow Connect to mail to ignore small signature images
When using the Connect to mail feature, I used to be able to ignore image files less than a certain size, so images that are in signature did not import into the document. This option is no longer available, so the signature image is now part of the document. Removing them is cumbersome when you are importing thousands of documents weekly into a document tray.

Allow Search Dialogs to be configured for select list only
We currently have an implementation with an external multi-column select list and we have implemented this in several store and search dialogs and we have setup filtering on the columns of the select list in these dialogs. In Store dialogs we have " The user can only use entries from the select list to set the field" option to force users to perform data entry / indexing only using the filtered select list values.
