  1. Ability to create a URL from a result list

    The email link function is nice, but is not useful if you need to send links to multiple result lists. It would useful to be able to create a link from a result list.

    This functionality is available since version 6.5 via the cogwheel icon of a result list.

  2. Add a true purge option (retention policy) on filing cabinet level

    Most of our clients have a retention policy on records. I suggest at the file cabinet level, an ability to set a full purge policy based off of a unique or fixed date field (such as store date).
    This way we can simply state that we can set a retention policy on the file cabinet that purges after "x" amount of years.

  3. Approve More than One Task at Once

    Many times clients have requested that they be able to select multiple documents in a task (or result) list and simply select "Approve" to stamp and mark them all as approve, as opposed to going through them one by one. This could be a HUGE time saver for companies.

  4. In task lists prevent the result view of the list from jumping around every time it refreshes.

    Currently in 6.5 when you are scrolling down a task list that has multiple pages of documents the list jumps back to the last highlighted row every time the list refreshes. This is frustrating when you are trying to find a document at the bottom of a list because the view keeps jumping to the top as you scroll down.

    Our users would like the list not to jump around as it refreshes.

  5. give the ability to export result list with a semi-colon instead of a simple comma.

    Like described in the documentation, when using a comma, you need to open excel first, then open your file and validate many screens before seeing it in excel. With the possibility to export with a semi-colon, the opening in excel works automatically.

    The export format depends on your language and format settings.
    Also Excel (or better speaking Windows) has regional settings how to import files. This means, in some areas the semicolon is used as separator, in other areas the comma is separated by default.

  6. Allow rotation of documents before and after storage

    If a document is not in the correct orientation for that specific document allow rotation prior to storage so that when viewed the document would be in the correct orientation.
    Also,
    If a document has already been stored without being in the correct orientation allow that document to be put into a basket for editing and rotated at that time and re-stored

    Thank you for your idea. The rotation of documents in the file cabinet will become available with version 6.6 through the “Automatic image correction” button in the viewer toolbar. The rotation in the basket will become available with 6.7

  8. Add ability in web client to transfer multiple documents from one file cabinet to another.

    Currently in order to move a file from one cabinet to another you have to copy the selected document to your basket and then store it to the other file cabinet. This is a pain if you have lots of documents. It would be a nice feature if there was this option as it was available in the desktop version.

    The functionality to copy a number of documents from one file cabinet to another is implemented and will become available with a future release of DW

  10. Restrict the store file type for a file cabinet.

    Provide an option to restrict the store file types for a file cabinet.

    This functionality is available on an organizational level with version 6.6 under Organization → General → Restricted file types

  11. linked (cascading) drop-downs

    Allow select lists to be hierarchical and linked. For example, a user selects "Contract" in the Document Type field and then they're only allowed to pick from specific contract types in the next field, the Document Sub-Type field. This is currently partially accomplished using Filtering and Selective Select Lists, but those ways are unstructured and depend upon a cabinet full of data.

    This feature is so common-place that users expect it in DW and are surprised that it's not there.

  12. Allow for multiple File cabinet search in webclient

    The windows client has the ability to search multiple file cabinets at the same time. When can we get this feature in the web client, this is a needed feature for customer trying to make use of an archive/active type system. The ability to search a smaller group of document lets say from the past year improves the speed of the results. Then a search to say search the active FC (less than 1 yer old) and an Archive FC (1 year old or more), which in turn takes longer to display the results. Is this a feature that can…

  13. Filtering Option in the Workflow Client

    If one user, e.g. accounting, has many workflow steps of the same workflow (e.g. "allocation", "declined", "approved", "to be proved", ...) he gets all this steps in one VERY big list.
    The users now want to filter for one step (e.g. "to be proved") so that they can work of this peticular step and afterwards go to the next step.
    So a filter Option, where you can select the shown workflow steps would be nice.

  15. Rotate & Deskew in file cabinet

    Enabling a feature that allows user to either manually or automatically rotate & deskew a document that is already stored in the file cabinet will allow a user free frustration. Or Enable the auto rotate and deskew when pulling file from Monitored folders.

  16. Index Field order of Search Masks in Web Client are not displayed correctly

    the DocuWare Administration tool allows to set a custom Field order for Search Masks see
    Archive --> Dialogue --> Serach Mask --> Field Layout --> Field Order

    These settings will not take any effect in web client, but in my oppinion they should.

  17. Export to ERP System

    I suggest you to have a feature to export index data for erp system after the documents are archived with Intelligent Indexing. The export must contain also the DOCID number to link the ERP system to document stored in Docuware

  18. I suggest to allow the defaults to be customizable in the HTML 5 Viewer

    I'm not sure that this directly relates to Intelligent Indexing but I did not see a better category to add this suggestion. It would be wonderful if we could have the ability to customize (and save) more defaults in the DocuWare WebClient HTML 5 Viewer - for example, the annotation tool's type face & font color, the viewer magnification, etc. Currently we can change the default text size and color but it will not retain once we log out.   19. copy and paste OCR Result outside Docuware

    Would be great, if you can use the OCR Results from the Docuware Viewer outside from Docuware. Copy Text from viewer and paste it outside Applications like Outlook or Word.

    This feature will become available with the next version of DocuWare. The content of annotations and stamps can be copied in case layers were merged.

  20. I suggest to allow customizing the pre-defined document types

    I suggest to offer a possibility to customize the pre-defined document types by mapping a more desirable value to the pre-defined document types i.e. "Invoice In" -> "My Invoice" .
