Desktop notifications
Windows Desktop Notifications should be a thing, in the same way as E-Mail notifications are. If one has Desktop Apps installed or allowed the WebClient to send notifications, a User should be able to receive Desktop notifications in addition to Mail notifications.

Email Notification Link via Workflow
Currently Workflow Designer does not allow you to generate the link name from variables with in DW only so the only option is to hardcode it.
It would be nice to be able to use the filename and a date as the link in the email being received by end users. It gives more meaning that hard coding the word document and then followed by variables

Make global variables global
Making use of variables throughout the system, for instance when working in forms, you could write an forms input directly to a global variable which could then be used in the workflow designer.

List which Document Processing Configurations have Automatic Identification enabled
In the Configuration page, when viewing the list of Document Processing Configurations, it would be helpful if there was a column that showed which configurations had Automatic Identification enabled.

Allow adhoc input for the AD Attribute I want to Synchronize with the User Sync Tool
In the Cloud Active Directory Sync tool there are only two choices for what attribute to sync to DW for the user name: sAMAccountName and userPrincipalName and they are hard coded into the tool.
I suggest that the attribute be a fill in box that allows me to select the attribute that I want to sync much like the on premise one does. I have accounts that use the employeeID attribute to be their DW username so that a filter can be set up for them to only see their document when they log in.

Customer's want to have the sender address as their own company when email documents within workflows.

More metadata on DocuWare users
It would be very useful to add the following information to the DWUser database:
− Creation date/Time,
− Modification date/time,
− De-activation date/Time,
− Last access date/Time ,

Allow shared mailboxes in connect to mail
I've been informed that shared mailboxes do not work with Connect to Mail.
However with the move to Exchange Online, and it being licensed per user, we have to use shared mailboxes not user accounts with a mailbox attached.
Being able to use shared mailboxes would reduce cost and user management complexity.15 votes -
Allow Dynamic date ranges for Document Relations
Add the ability to add dynamic date ranges in Document Relations. In other words, add the ability to show documents where the store date is within the last 30 days or a custom index field like due date is within the next 30 days.

When using an XML file to clone a file cabinet, the dialog permissions aren't set.
Dialog assignments need to get copied as well when copying a file cabinet

allow configuration of teams and team leads for easy approval workflows.
For Docuware to know who the manager of anyone else is, would be more efficient for approvals, example travel requisitions or leave approvals.

Workflow Designer: Assign a task to a role expect specific users
We would like the possibility to assign a task to any member of a role, except some specific users. The use case would be in a 4-eyes principle workflow, where in a same role one user must perform an action and another user (not especially an n+1) from the same role must review the action.

Administrator: Performance Indicators
It would be nice to have a dashboard in the admin tool with key performance indicators, such as Documents stored for the day, Maximum concurrent users, Number of registered users, # inactive users that didnt use Docuware in 3 months), current logged in users, data in for day (vs historical average), data out for day (vs historical average), Available storage (with estimated time before storage is full), Available resources, Critical errors (servers, workflows, etc.)

Disable "Create Data File" as a User Option
Too many times I've seen users accidentally index as a data file, when they meant to index an image in their tray. Maybe there could be a way to disable this "feature" as 99.9% of my customers would never intent to store only data.

Create forms with a organization template
like a fusion into "form of fusion" with "traditional forms". For example, I upload the PDF template file and add items on this template to capture information. In this way, the user of a web client looks at a friendly interface.

Allow the creation of Data Records from Workflow Manager/Designer.
I have a need to create two 'Numbers' from based on a condition. If IndexField A is not empty create the 'Number'. If Indexfield B is not empty create the 'Number'. It would be good enough for the customer that one or two Data Records are created using the data

Reverse rule
When configuring access rights for users, it would be beneficial with a "reverse rule" where you can reverse the filter. If a document type filter is set, the button "reverse rule" tells if the user should be able see only the type defined, or all other types.

Add dialog checking to the Integrity Check tool
The integrity check tool does not scrutinize dialogs for things like duplicate fields, or fields that don't exist in the file cabinet. These problems can happen if there is a database timeout when adding or deleting a field in a file cabinet. When it happens, the only way to repair it is manually inspect the settings column for each dialog in the database.

allow us to use different fonts or text colours
This is a fairly simple idea: allow us to use different fonts or text colours in the decision forms.
Use case: an invoice that's part of an AP approval workflow fails validation and we'd like the reason for the validation-failure to be in red text to draw the user's attention to it.

Notifications to show value of a certain field
we have the "Show value of this field as a link" option in the message section of a notification.
I want to be able to add just the value of the field without a link embedded to it.
