  1. Would like to be able to find a Web basket by name on the server

    Sometimes when trouble shooting it would be a help to know the name of the document tray when looking at the file folders on the server. We used to be able to do that on older versions. Our site recently migrated to 6.6 from 5.1b and all the web baskets have the same folder name with just a number appended. Ex. DWWebBas.000047 instead of "Accounting"

  3. Notification

    A document stored in the file cabinet ready for email notification. (so in the notification table). A user logs in during the day and approves invoice randomly… At 4pm (or whatever time you assign) however, he will still get an email notification to let him know that he has invoices to approve even though he has already completed his action. It would be good if we could remove this. What do you think?

  4. Role list for Workflow Manager

    With DocuWare 6.6 we can select multiple roles in using the Workflow Manager. That's nice but we need a "role list" as we have it with the Substitution list.

    If we allow the user to choose a role for the next task, he can see all existing roles (!) also the "Default Organisation Role". You need to specify which roles the use can see for two important reasons.
    1. Depending on the workflow one user need only a couple of roles in the list and not all.
    2. The Roles are also used for the authorization management. And these roles…

  7. Change the "is different than previous page" Split option to not split if the zone is empty.

    I have had multiple occasions where the first page of a new document has a customer number and the subsequent pages do not. I need a way to say that if the zone has a number in it that is different from the previous, but NOT EMPTY then split before that page. Currently, the “different than previous” option considers a blank zone a new document and this does not work for these scenarios.

  8. Connect 2 Mail to also allow the usage of .msg not just .pdf and .eml

    I think it is great you added the .eml to the Exchange configuration in Coonect2Mail feature of 6.6.
    However the .eml extension does not allow for forward/reply/reply all from the right-click context menu. This is currently allowed with an Active import and Connect2Outlook stored emails.
    The only way to forward/reply/reply all is to edit the document. This causes a security concern for users that do not have the edit right/ however they were still able to forward/reply/ reply all from the context menu.

    Please look at adding the emails as .msg again from the C2M module.

  9. optional fields for groups or user defined tables

    For index filters in profiles we often use a database view on the DocuWare Users and grups ("dwGroups, dwUsers, dwUserToGroup").
    This helps to make a SQL index filter with the user-group settings.
    Often the group name itself is implemented in the index filter. For example the users in the DW group with the name "grp_Accounting" are just allowed to see documents of the business unit "Accounting".
    SQL index filter: CURRENTUSERLONGNAME() IN (SELECT v.User FROM View V Where (dwdata.dbo.archiv.)BusinessUnit = LEFT(3,v.groupName)
    (or something like that)
    If there would be a possibility to give groups optional fields we could take this information…

    Please bring back the %USERNAME% option for automatic generation of baskets.

    Generating baskets for more than an handful of users used to be very easy using the %USERNAME% option. Please bring this option back into DocuWare to stop us from having to manually generate baskets for every user.

  11. Predefine workflow job that converts DWTIFF (DW5.x and DW4.x) to a new PDF format

    If you are dealing with very large documents that we were in DWTIFF format and now you want to bring back to the web basket it take extremely extremely long time to convert to a new PDF format. It works but it will be better if the conversion so done in the server side so that the clients don’t have to suffer

    Currently there are no plans to have an background job which converts tiff files to PDF. Main reason is, that this could take a long time and bring high load to the Server. On the other side we know that less than 1% of “old” documents are displayed after they are archived (on average).

    For all who have a use case where it makes sense to convert old tiff files please contact our Professional Services Team.

  12. More options in "Show User Rights" in admin tool

    It would be nice to see more rights in the "Show User Rights" menu in the admin tool. Examples of desired rights would be Document Trays, Stamps, templates, assigned configurations (user/admin rights)...

  13. CDN with Fallback to Local Script Repository

    Starting with DW 6.6 Hotfix 8 DocuWare the Web.Settings flag "UseLocalCDN" has been set to "false". Quote: "For better performance you should disable this flag. If the flag is disabled, the fat JavaScript libraries are downloaded from Google CDN orother CDNs." There should be a fallback option just in case external CDN are blocked or unavailable.

  14. Batch user tools for managing users.

    Some installations have hundreds or thousands of users. We need tools to manage sub-groups, for ex., the DW customer's customers customers, or enterprise customers with large divisions. In particular one function badly needed is a wayt to export users (and attributes) to CSV or Excel.

  15. I suggest to allow more colors for the stamps or web baskets

    I would like to have the option of choosing more colors when creating any of the following... stamps/web baskets/ file cabinets/ decisions on workflow manager. I have a couple of clients that have a bunch of file cabinets and different colors will make it a lot easier on the eyes.

  17. Web Forms with files attached not emailed as .zip file

    After the upgrade to DocuWare Cloud version 7, Web Forms with any files attached are emailed as .zip files. This causes many spam filters to automatically quarantine these messages, and many people, once they see a .zip file attached, automatically delete these emails, assuming that they are viruses.

    It would be great if an option were available to be able to email the files in their native file format, as they were prior to version 7. The files were simply attachments to the email, instead of having to extract the contents of a zip file, assuming the end user actually…

  18. Allow setting hours and minutes in Schedule of Export/Transfer Workflow in Docuware 7

    Please allow setting hours and minutes again in Schedule of Export/Transfer Workflow instead of only allowing hours. It's a major setback in Docuware 7 compared with former Docuware 6.

  19. Improve the way users interact with forms via a touch interface in kiosk mode

    Our office uses kiosks with a touch interface for patients to fill out forms. They are frustrated with how forms behave. I recorded a short video that illustrates what happens.

  20. Default regional settings to "English (United States" on new US based cloud accounts.

    Currently it is defaulted to English (United Kingdom) even if you select US datacenters.
