Of course the security of our users is important to us.
As you have noticed, this idea still has the same status, but was not declined. That means we evaluate it regularly. One reason why we have decided not to add this security feature yet is that we will first change the authentication flow.
As a first step, we introduced the Identity Service in the DocuWare Cloud with Version 7.3, which allows integration with Azure AD and the use of MFA there.
The next step is to force users to use SSO only. However, to ensure this, we still need to make some changes in our authentication flow.
We are also planning to bring these functions to DocuWare On-Premises.
Afterwards we will evaluate extending the login with DocuWare credentials with MFA/2FA.We are constantly striving to improve our products and appreciate your feedback and contribution.

An error occurred while saving the comment Rex W. Walker commentedAlong these lines, allow retention of original document names when un-clipping. The new v7 un-clip that names every document as the base document was not a welcomed change. It would have been nice if there were two options. "Unclip-Ignore file names" and "Unclip-Retain file names".
If a mistake is made in clipping, un-cippping requires the user to rename all of the files back to what they "think" they were...

An error occurred while saving the comment Rex W. Walker commentedLogging of an error or warning event to the application event log would allow for 3rd party monitoring solutions to detect a problem and act on the event without requiring additional alerting and notification mechanism within the app.

I would really like to see a "What If" option with a results report in order to test a critical configuration such as mass document deletion. This would be very beneficial.
