Field list in Field behaviors should take the field name and not label
Currently the field list when using field behaviors are using labels. This gets confusing when you have multiple addresses or occurrences of a particular field.
If the field label was used instead, admins can make them unique.

Restore "*Required" Field Errors Back To Webforms
Our DocuWare Cloud instance was recently upgraded to v.7. Since the upgrade, our webforms no longer display errors above the Submit button when *Required fields are incomplete.
In v.7, the descriptive language regarding fields that are incomplete (e.g. "errors") do not appear on webforms. Rather, the "Submit" button remains greyed out and cannot be clicked until the errors are corrected.
Sorry to say, without the helpful errors actually displaying on screen, our users cannot figure out why the Submit button won't light up. One of our webforms is very long and contains many *Required fields. The users simply cannot intuit…
2 votesThank you for your idea. We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

Allow dynamic selection of document to merge with in a merge form configuration.
Perhaps documents selectable from a cabinet (rather than selected from an explorer browse window) dedicated as these type of templates.

Be able to use predefined fields such as dates in a DW Form
It would be great to be able to have a date field and just have it prepopulated with the current date. Also, would be great to be able to use currentuserlongname as a prepopulated item in a form field

I suggest you use the user's local setting to set up the date on forms.
The UK has a date format of day/month/year and given I click on a calendar to select the date often the error is not seen until the 04/06 2017 or was that the 06/04/2017?

Calculate with date fields.
Hello, is it possible with DocuWare to perform a calculation on date fields to determine the number of days taken, for example, for a form with a start date and an end date? To determine the number of days via a calculation on the form.

We should be able to have if statments in Arithmetic Calculations. Ex: I have a Home Miles box that should be subtracted from Total Miles when the person went from Home to a location or went to Home from a location.
I know this can probably be done in Workflow but we really would like to calculate from the form itself.

Automatic numbering format
I'm working on a form and I would like to create a Form number using the current year and the auto numbering feature, for example, "YYYY- 001" or "2025-001"

Reprint output PDF after index modification
It would be good to have the form reprinted in PDF after a modification from 'Modiiay index' dialog in search results.

concatenate form fields in indexes and merge fields
There is another post for date calculations in forms that is also important but my problem is that I am trying to idiot proof my forms because people can't seem to enter the date correctly. I realize that this is a PEBCAK (problem exists between chair and keyboard) problem but my fix to it is that I index the day of birth with a select list of 31, the month of birth with a select list of 12 and a year of birth. Then in a workflow I put them all together as a date. It is a bit obnoxious.…

adjust required coverage on signatures
When a signature field is marked as required, all it takes is a single dot in the signature area to satisfy the requirement. It would be great to have a 'coverage area' slider or parameter in the configuration section to allow for adjustment in either pixels or percent coverage. For example 10 pixels is not enough for a valid signature but 200 could be.

Not Enough Text space on form for our Large quotes
There is not enough space in the text for our customers large quotes and Tenders, Their Clients do not like the scroll down bar. When printing it cuts off. There should be an option to add extra pages, or be notified there is not enough room in the text page and text will be lost when printing.

Turn off forms tab in web client
I would love the option to turn off the forms tab in the web client. It's honestly quite confusing and inefficient since it shows every from published or not. We do not create forms for everyone to use and employees often fill out the wrong form or can't find what they're looking for. We also have an intranet site where we publish form links.

Have option to auto set focus on first field
This would assist the filling in of a form as the first field would be ready to receive data rather than having to type a Tab key or click on it.

Use attached files in form to fill out form fields
When attaching a structured file to a form, it would be great if we could use the data from the file to fill out fields of the form in order to speed up the indexing process. This could work the same as the import features from a folder where you need to include identification rules, anchors and the specific part of the document where the data needs to be extracted.

Have an option to move the Submit button to the right side of the form
It would be great if we had the option to move the submit button to the right-hand side of the form. Right now the submit button is placed on the bottom left of the form. Most users look to the bottom right of the screen when they want to click submit, so having the form on the bottom left makes it extra work for users to do to locate the button.

automatically advance to the another field when a barcode is scanned in forms.
I have a form for inventory disposal. It has fields for asset control numbers. The asset control tags have barcodes but when I scan them the curser remains in the fields where I scanned the code. It would be nice if I could scan the barcode and have it advance to the next field.

Allow select lists to be used for check box/multiple choice in forms
I have forms that use checkbox fields. But I would like to be able to use a dynamic list for the checkbox items. An example of this is class lists for attendance. When a kid enrolls or drops I would like to be able to use the student record information to change the attendance form automatically.
