Bring back the Session Time Out Feature to DocuWare Webclient - Serious Security Issue
This is a serious security issue and almost all of our clients are complaining about not being able to automatically sign out of the system!

Approve More than One Task at Once
Many times clients have requested that they be able to select multiple documents in a task (or result) list and simply select "Approve" to stamp and mark them all as approve, as opposed to going through them one by one. This could be a HUGE time saver for companies.

Filtering Option in the Workflow Client
If one user, e.g. accounting, has many workflow steps of the same workflow (e.g. "allocation", "declined", "approved", "to be proved", ...) he gets all this steps in one VERY big list.
The users now want to filter for one step (e.g. "to be proved") so that they can work of this peticular step and afterwards go to the next step.
So a filter Option, where you can select the shown workflow steps would be nice.123 votesThe feature will be available with the next update.

Have the ability to use calculations within Forms
If filling out expense or check requests or anything with money or numerical value, would be great to use calculations to total the fields.

Web Basket Recycle Bin
The Windows client had a trash can that would save documents deleted from a basket. Can you implement a web basket recycle bin that would act as a failsafe for the user?

Table in forms
Please give the ability to add the field type 'table' to forms.

linked (cascading) drop-downs
Allow select lists to be hierarchical and linked. For example, a user selects "Contract" in the Document Type field and then they're only allowed to pick from specific contract types in the next field, the Document Sub-Type field. This is currently partially accomplished using Filtering and Selective Select Lists, but those ways are unstructured and depend upon a cabinet full of data.
This feature is so common-place that users expect it in DW and are surprised that it's not there.

Ability to show system fields in the result view list
In the administration console under Result View of the File Cabinet, it would be beneficial to add the ability to show DW System fields like Stored On, Stored By, DocID, Etc. in the result list. Furthermore, it would be beneficial to have this ability in the Search Dialogs as well.
This is somewhat similar to how the Version Status, Number and Change Comment fields work, they are system fields that have the ability to be shown in the dialog but are set to Not Visible by default.64 votesThank you for your contribution. Your idea is available with version 7.4.

Mandatory should be made a property of a store dialog
This was marked as complete in 6.9 under "Mandatory fileds" idea, but I do not see it available. It appears that field can't be empty is still a property of the FC profile which means it is the same for all store dialogs.
I'd like to be able to make field compulsory for some dialogs, but not others, For example when user stores Invoices using 'Store Invoices' store dialog the field be 'can't be empty' but when using another store dialog this field is optional.

Make DocuWare support SAML/(Azure) AD/LDAP/SSO in order to be more GDPR compliant
Dutch customers want to have a better and more secure way to login to the DocuWare client. Although DocuWare says it's GDPR compliant, it's the way customers use DocuWare that requires a more secure way of logging in.
f.e.
SAML/SSO: This way people can use a identity provider instead of local users. Authentication of logging in will be done by de iDP (f.e. Topicus KeyHub).
(Azure) AD/LDAP: This way user sync can be done from 1 central point and then users can be disabled within AD.
41 votesThank you for your idea. We decided to support OpenID Connect, so we are not considering SAML at the moment. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.
Single Sign-On with Azure Active Directory via OpenID Connect is available starting with DocuWare Cloud version 7.3.

Export Tasks as CSV
Just like you can export a csv from a result list, it would be nice to export your workflow tasks as a csv

Include the ability to write to table fields automatically
Currently, data can be pulled from a table field into a Global Variable within "Assign Data" in a workflow. However, the ability to use a table field as a "Destination" when assigning data does not exist. This would be extremely useful if a document with line items is stored directly to a file cabinet. Currently, the table can only be populated manually or using Intelligent Indexing. More automation with the table fields would be very useful!

Allow for multiple File cabinet search in webclient
The windows client has the ability to search multiple file cabinets at the same time. When can we get this feature in the web client, this is a needed feature for customer trying to make use of an archive/active type system. The ability to search a smaller group of document lets say from the past year improves the speed of the results. Then a search to say search the active FC (less than 1 yer old) and an Archive FC (1 year old or more), which in turn takes longer to display the results. Is this a feature that can…

Include table field type
Please add the possibility to add a table field to docuware forms.

create dynamic options in forms
It would be nice to have dynamic options for forms. So, if you have a drop down like Yes or No and the user selects yes more fields will pop up under it. If the user selects no, it will move right on to the next criteria.

Calculate Index Data using index field values
Be able to calculate fields by other fields index data. Example:
Invoice Amount: 36.00
Invoice Payment: 20.00
Then be able to put an equation in a field called:

Restore the ability to set a default zoom for viewing documents.
When you open documents in the web client the resulting view seems very inconsistent. Users would like to be able to set a default for fit to width and other options like we used to see in the Result List dialog web options.

Allow block to file system
In previous DocuWare versions you could block a document from the file cabinet to the Desktop for instance. Then you could work on this file and then import and unblock the document in DocuWare. In 6.6 you only can block to the Document tray.

Do not include read only indexes from workflow form on stamp.
Displaying instructions and read only index fields on the form is convenient, but when using a stamp these fields are included in the stamp making the stamp too large. The values haven’t changed and don’t need to be in the stamp.

Editable Form
We would like to have editable Forms. For example I send a vacation request, but I made a mistake and want to change my request, and so on...
