An error occurred while saving the comment Jon Weston commenteda lot of users don't understand why the document name index field is not actually the document name and is unaffected by DocuWare's "Rename" function. this would be a very sensible thing to fix
Jon Weston supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Jon Weston commentedBeing able to change the base document name at any time would be great, not just during a Copy To operation. Users are confused when the Document Name field gets updated but then when they open the document (in Word or Excel) that old name is still there. Rename should actually rename the document.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jon Weston commentedor allow it to trigger a single run of an AutoIndex job for just that one document. This would leverage the power of AutoIndex without the horrible inefficiency of having it run every 10 seconds to update any incoming documents.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jon Weston commentedPeople use annotations for redaction so the ability to print without annotations can be a HUGE security/privacy risk. Very surprised to see this easy hack in place - please fix this loophole.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jon Weston commentedThis is here now in 6.7, which is great, but it only works for identically-named fields in the selected cabinets. As an expansion of this feature it'd be great to have a single google-like search that will crawl ALL the index fields for selected cabinets. This is what users are asking for and, having been able to do it in Google and other ECM solutions, they expect it in DocuWare.

At the moment we can not give you any update regarding this feature. It is on our list of planned features but at the moment we can not give a precise timeframe about the realization.

Readout areas can already be tied to anchors, but it'd be nice if we could tie the location of the SmartConnect search button to an anchor, too. Otherwise the button tends to wander around depending on the user's screen resolution settings, if they've scrolled their screen at all, etc.
