  1. Passwords should not be repeated in in the last 12, 60 day cycles.

    A user should not be able to alternate between the same two passwords.

  2. Group elements in DocuWare Forms and an "add button" to dynamically "create" fields

    Imagine that Im a technician and require spare parts to fix something... I would need a document with some certain information which would repeat n number of times, i.e. Part Number, Description, Qty... there won't be a fixed number of fields that i have to fill each time I need spare parts.

    The group elements function would allow to wrap PartNumber, Description and Qty to be treated as one, so with the Add button you could add another group of those fields as on requirements

  3. Allow Organizational Admin to Edit Network ID

    It's always been crazy to me the organizational admin user in DocuWare can not edit a Network ID of a user. You have to log into DW administration as the user to do it. That can be an enormous pain with systems with hundreds of users.

  4. Automate DesktopApp default connection to PlatformRO

    When deploying DWDesktopApp there is a script on the DW FAQ site called "DocuWareXXDesktopAppsSilent_Install.bat". This can be used to automate the deployment of DWDesktopApp. The problem is the portion that directs the creation of the default connection does not work with PlatformRO. You must manually log into your Read Only Platform site and use the "Connect Desktop Apps" option.

    I would be great if customers who purchased RO and SmartConnect could automate the creation of the default connection to PlatformRO as well as have a visual representation in the DesktopApp that showed the app's connection was…

  5. Create logging process for Predefined Workflows

    There is a need to allow logging so it can be documented that any of the predefined workflows, such as Auto-index Workflows, Deletion Workflow, Export Workflows, and Synchronization Workflows have processed when scheduled.

    This can be imported for multiple types of audits, disaster recovery, and business continuation.

  6. Make improvements to Email Notification

    Email Notifications are extremely limited in what they can do and how they are scheduled. They are also not easy to understand and/or test. I recommend the following improvements.
    1. Allow groups and roles to be assigned to a notification. The whole point of AD synchs with a group is to reduce administration tasks but without the ability to assign groups/roles to notifications, then the admin has to assign users separately OR open a notification job to all users, which is not ideal.
    2. Create an ability for a notification to change a field after execution. This will allow users…

    Thank you for your idea. Right now we are focusing on other topics, so we are not considering this idea for future releases. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.

    Please Note: Apart from the improvement of scheduling options all other functionalities are available in the DocuWare Workflow Manager.

    Many of our customers have requested the ability to export the list of users from DocuWare (to CSV) with their assigned permissions (Roles, Groups, Profiles, File Cabinet profiles)

  8. Visual improvements to Workflow Designer

    I would like the ability to reorder Decisions within a task and their outputs, alter the size and shape of activities, and select a bunch of the activities and move them all at once. Right now it is very tedious and time-consuming to design a workflow that is visually clear.

    Thank you for your contribution. We are now working on a new version of the Workflow Designer, which will bring a whole new user experience, so we set this wish to “Planned”.
    I’d like to point out that a couple of things are possible in the meantime, like reordering decision and now also reordering data assignments. Multiselect will come with the new version.
    In case of changing size and shape of the activities, we are not planning to do this currently.
    I’d be happy to learn why and how this would help you in your daily work.

  10. Add option for numeric field without commas

    Can an option be added when creating a numeric filed to choose whether or not to display commas to separate thousands? There are times that having a field that shows a year is useful and the commas are not commonly used when displaying this type of information.

  13. Radio button in Workflow Manager

    To improve the ease of use, radio buttons should be implemented in the Workflow Manager. We have such buttons, we can create for example “yes” and “no” in one decision, and the user can just click once instead of open a select list and search for the correct value

  15. User Reporting Capabilities

    I would like to see who is using the system and what files each person has touched as well as how many people are in Docuware at any given moment.

  16. Memo field in Workflow Manager

    At the moment you can add a comment with max. 255 characters. In some reasons this is not enough, and it would be great if also the memo field can be used in the Workflow Manager.

  17. Ability to remove functions from right-click menu in web basket/document tray

    I would like to be able to remove "Store Automatically" from certain users' web basket/tray when right-clicking on a document. Customer needs to have users change index entries when storing, and they don't want any way for the user not to change the entries.

  19. Stop forcing alphabetical sorting of Select Lists.

    We can create Select Lists grouped and arraigned in the order that makes sense to the user. But DocuWare insists on resorting the list in alphabetical order. PLEASE STOP DOING THIS!

    Now we have to create Select Lists with numeric prefixes to force our sort order. Then the users have to memorize a complete list of prefixes, to allow rapid data entry. They should be able to just start typing the description and have it appear, but be able to pick from a sensibly ordered list if the they need help.

  20. Would like to be able to find a Web basket by name on the server

    Sometimes when trouble shooting it would be a help to know the name of the document tray when looking at the file folders on the server. We used to be able to do that on older versions. Our site recently migrated to 6.6 from 5.1b and all the web baskets have the same folder name with just a number appended. Ex. DWWebBas.000047 instead of "Accounting"
