  1. Add an 'autosave' feature to annotated docs

    Fortis 'autosaves' any markups on documents. Would be great to pull over that feature as an option in the client viewer settings. "Automatically save annotations on document close - Yes/No"

  2. Limit locations where DocuWare Cloud can be accessed

    Option to add public IP Address to filter locations where DocuWare Cloud can be accessed.

    Must be option to have this setting altered by DocuWare support team.

  3. Add TLS encryption to e-mails sent from workflows

    If a workflow is set to send a receipt to the person uploading a document and the e-mail includes the uploaded document then it would be great is the e-mail was encrypted. The risk is that the e-mail will include personal information that requires encryption due to GDPR legislation.

  4. Workflow Controller tasks in separate tabs, please

    In DocuWare 7 the tasks which ran into an error (assigned to deleted user, or so) now pop up as tasks for the workflow controllers! That is really good, but it would be nice to have those tasks in a separate tab so that the controllers, who are usually rather busy users on the workflows (accounts payable team, etc) can easily differentiate between their normal tasks and the ones they have been assigned to because of their "Controller" role.

  5. give workflow designers the ability to customize font styles in workflow tasks

    It would be great if we could customize the font that displays Descriptions in workflow tasks. I'm using those to give users additional information so they can make the proper decision (eg. error messages or data validation messages like "DocuWare has detected a duplicate invoice with such-and-such information", etc) and it would make these much more effective if we could make the more critical pieces of information stand out a bit, either by making them boldface, a larger font size, or a different font colour.

  6. Allow processing import configurations via an autoindex workflow

    Sometimes when mass importing you find an import template needed to allow for changes in labeling or location of data. It may be that an entirely new template needs to be created.

    It would be amazing if you were able to send documents that already exist in DocuWare into a processing queue that would run another recognition on the document(s). By applying a filter you would limit it to only run on documents that you want to process.

  8. Keep viewer open when clipping a new document

    Users would like to be able to see the original document when clipping a new one. Currently the viewed document closes as soon as the tray opens for selecting a document to clip. The stored documents have a number and the new ones in the tray have that same number. All the numbers look similar, so currently behavior requires that the user memorize which number is to be selected. With many documents in the tray and frequent phone calls and interruptions they can make mistakes, which then are hard to fix because clipped documents cannot be easily edited.

  9. Comment fields in Trays, Search and Store

    I suggest that it would be useful for administrators to be able to add comment fields to Trays, Search Dialogs and Store Dialogs to help users with instructions and tips

  10. column width

    Need the ability to set a default width on columns. I have a Policies and Procedures Search Dialog, which consistently displays only 18 characters of the Policy Name. I'd like to be able to set it at 50 characters.

  11. Have an Import Configuration that can identify multiple document types

    Currently you can create a printer configuration for different document types and when you print a document it will try and identify with one of the printer configurations. I suggest doing the same thing with the import configurations, or be able to create an import configuration that can then allow for multiple document type to be identified.

    Ex. I create an Import Configuration for bank statements. When it comes to the Identify tab you are then able to create multiple document types with separate importable documents to create templates from. So when you imported bank statements from different backs it…

  13. Choose different inbox when autoarchive fails

    When the import fails, the documents go to the default inbox, and it would be fine, we could choose a different inbox for each kind of documents

  14. Add a popup icon to the DW icon in task bar if there are documents in inbox

    See attached file. I had a customer Pease & Sons Inc. that made this suggestion. They have a user that is not in the system all the time but would like a notification when documents are put into her tray. This occurs as other users all put documents into her tray. If there was just a window notification or little number (see image) it would help her know that she has something to do.

  15. Automatic Stamp

    There is a Module for Docuware called "AutoStamp". As DSC, this module would be useful for all my customers.
    I suggest that you create a nice Config for AutoStamp instead of having to edit the xml files and publish it either in the DW Standard or as an extra Module.
    Just include it in DocuWare and not run it as its own webservice, this is horrible.

  16. Restore workflows in the cloud

    If DocuWare expects their ADP's to move any of their larger clients into the cloud from on-premise systems, they will need to allow us to create Restore Workflows on DocuWare-Online.

    Synchronizations are to unreliable, and export workflows take an excruciatingly long time to run.

    We need to be able to FTP the documents up to the cloud and then only have to run a restore workflow to update the database.

    Tech Support claims this would compromise security, but that doesn't make sense.

  17. Allow Intelligent Indexing Tray backup for Import Configurations

    Allow the option to designate an Intelligent Indexing tray for anything that is not recognized as a valid Import Config. Would be good when used with an AutoIdentify import folder.

    Create a template from a Document, usable for others. When a user selects edit, it creates a copy of the document, and stores it as a new document (with predefined index information) and then opens the document for editing...

  19. Zip the selected documents when multiple documents are selected to be attached to a message with the Send function

    There is a request that includes selecting individual pages too. Though, it is not clear why this isn't done by default already. When multiple documents are selected for Download, they are zipped. Why do we download the whole file rather than zip it when they are to be attached to an e-mail?

  20. Add related docs and preferences to mobile client

    Add a link to related docs in the mobile client.

    Also add the ability to hide/prioritize lists, searches, etc like you can in the windows explorer client and web client.
