Download activity in workflow. Similar to emailing the document
We need a new activity in the workflow designer. The ability to download a file to a UNC path or FTP site, in original format, PDF with or without annotation.
Example: After DocuWare has processed, and users have approved it in a workflow, the document needs to be saved externally to be ingested into another system. common for lawyers and court systems, also banking applications.10 votes -
You need to be able to assign a specific SENDER email address within a workflow
When setting up a workflow you should be able to choose a sender email address BY WORKFLOW. Example:
AP invoice workflow send emails from AP@MYCOMPANY.COM
Order workflow sends emails from ORDERS@MYCOMPANY.COMThese should be selectable IN THE WORKFLOW

Dialog displayed when clicking Edit Text Annotation in the Tools Menu should be able to be displayed as read only
In the Tools menu there is a push pin button that has the title Edit Text Annotation. When this button is clicked on a dialog box is displayed allowing the user to enter text. We would like people to be able to display this dialog but have the text read only.

Create a data record from a form
I use forms as a down and dirty data collection tool. I don't necessarily need to keep the form I just want the data. I also have a case where I have a merge form and one of the merge forms is a blank page that I use for the data record. The problem with this is that I can't just double click on the data record in search results to edit it I have to edit indexes. It would be nice if there was a third option with forms for create data record. Or in Merge forms have an…

audit trail/ reporting
Increased functionality with audit reporting. Add the ability to add criteria (other then date) the search parameters. Be able to search by event, user and then be able to sort the results A to z or z to a.

Stamp Visibility on Document Criteria
Stamps can perform very specific actions, sometimes only appropriate for documents of certain document types, statuses or other defining criteria. Right now the stamps all show for anything in the specified File Cabinet, but would be great if we could filter when they show up based on defined index values.

Add a possibility to share selected documents by a result list
It would be great to add a possibility to share selected documents. Example : if my result list contains 5 documents and i want to share 3 of them, i select them et and I get a link which creates a list of results with these 3 documents

Provide this option in Workflow to auto open or not the next record
Create a setting allowing any user to enable/disable whether the next invoice in the approval task list automatically pops open when you are completed with your 1st one.
This is currently an option for Stamps, but not for Workflow. Why not? In the configuration of Stamps, it is possible to select when the next record is opened, or when the current document is closed. It is assumed in Workflow that the next record should be automatically opened.

Create a mass delete within the "temp" document tray due to the fact if you have an issue during import all the files get placed there.
Create a mass delete within the "temp" document tray due to the fact if you have an issue during "import" all the files get placed there. I have had to manual go in and delete over 5,000 document multiple times, perhaps add where deletion workflows can be done to document trays

Integrate DocuWare's Out of Office setting with Exchange
It would make the jobs of both users and workflow controllers easier if the Out of Office setting in DocuWare could match a user's Out of Office settings in Exchange/Outlook

Allow export to CSV of only selected documents, in addition to "Entire Result List" or "Current Page"
Allow export to CSV of only selected documents, in addition to "Entire Result List" or "Current Page". Sometimes users need to export random records from a result list that can not be isolated with a search query.

Possibility to open the full DocuWare Webclient from a resultlist
When a ResultList is open, the ability to transfer the resultlist to a full webclient would be good. Many users are missing the viewer and also the inconvenience of closing the result list window and opening a new DocuWare webclient.

Way to organize forms in the configure view- store in seperate folders or a way to search, sort etc.

merge layers in a workflow
add an option to be able to merge layers as part of a workflow so I don't have to create a task for someone to manually click the 'merge layers' button.

"Edit" button after check-out/check-in
In Docuware WebClient is some inconsistency.
User can "edit" document from search view/task lists, however after even once check-out/check-in to be able to edit the document user must always use the check-out/check-in. After check-out/check-in "Edit" button from view/task lists becomes inactive.
Please to add "Edit" functionality in the search view/task lists when document was checked-out/checked-in.

grouping of search dialogs
Idea from DocuWare Product Blog:
Docuware should create a menu for search dialogues in a tree form so that grouped automatically showing only dialogs over file cabinet and go as needed. Often that choice is not enough for some users who actually work with many dialogs all the time.This was an reply to the following article:

Use File Name during Edit the same way as in Download
The name of the file exported from DocuWare should be consistent whether using Download, Send, or Edit.
Currently, when I select to edit a document, it opens the originally stored file name. However, selecting Send or Download will result in the document name / file name defined by the index.
This can cause confusion if you have several documents that are copies of a template document even though their document name is different, the file name used during "Edit" remains the original.

Document tray page limit
Increasing the allowed limit per page for a document tray which is 100 Have client that needs to be able to select documents over 100 which she is not allowed to do right now because of the page limit in a document tray

In the tab that contains the name of tray it would be an improvement if it also contained the number of documents in that tray.

Intelligent Indexing & Select Lists
Intelligent Indexing and Select Lists needs to be linked in some way.
Currently when using intelligent indexing with something like Supplier Name as a select List only field it will pick up the customer name from the invoice but not match this name to the name in the select list. This then stops us from being able to store the document automatically.
If the field is a select list only field, some way on linking the customer names to what Intel Index finds would be great.
