  1. Add functions "Copy to.." and "Quick copy to..." in Tools Box

    In the tools box, it will be interesting to add functions "Copy to.." and "Quick copy to..." which are available in search list.
    Like as send and download tools, you can choose to copy file, document or page and after copy you 'll have the choice to delete the copied file, document or page.

  2. Allow export of files to pdf searchable

    If non text searchable PDF's are entered into DW and DW performs its own OCR so that we can high light text to enter into Store Dialogs; we should be able to export that same PDF out of DW so that it is in fact text searchable.

  3. Allow fields to be removed in search pages

    My default search has far more fields than I require. It would be useful if I could remove certain fields (like you can in results) so that I don't have to seach the screen to find the relevant ones.

  4. Add Conditional Merge Form Templates

    It would be useful to only Merge onto specific templates based on a condition.

    I have a client that has variations on some of their PDF templates used for Merge Forms (usually between 2 and 6 variations). For example, headers and footers may differ between departments, but the information being merged is generic.

    Currently I give each Merge Form a unique fixed entry (i.e. department name) which gets matched against the department selected in a drop down list. When the forms enter a workflow, the documents where the selected entry does not match the fixed entry get marked for deletion.

  5. Add a behavior to index fields in the search dialog

    For instance, say that the top index field is called "Department" and there are 10 departments listed. Each department will have different documents and index fields that are unique to them.

    When someone selects "Human Resources" as the Department, then a set of index fields will appear based upon that selection. Like an eForm "behavior".

  6. single click to view documents in the viewer

    Instead of double click, make document appear in the viewer with a single click. At a minimum, make it an option to choose between double click and single click.

  9. Result List Based on Field Value

    Would be very useful if we could define which result list is rendered based on a field value, like Document Type. In this manner an Edit Index Entries for document type Invoice would only show the pertinent index values and not the values for all the other document types in that file cabinet.

  10. GroupBy in results, views, wordkflows...

    GROUP (and subgroup...) results or Taks or lists by the desired field... This should be able to be configured by admin for each result list or workflow view, but also modified and personalized by the users.

  11. Enable Tab Key based selections from Select Lists or any multiple selection opportunity

    Common complaint is the Down Arrow and Return method currently in place for selecting an option from a Select List or other multiple selection opportunities in DocuWare. The Tab Key method is almost universal and it never fails that the clients are put off by not being able to use this choice. Adding to the frustration is that if you're using the Down Arrow then Enter in a Workflow task and accidentally hit Enter twice the second Enter confirms the task when that is not desired. I encounter this quite often. What do you think?

  12. Conditional Formatting when Assigning.

    For example:

    I may want to assign to a department depending on an outcome or responsibility. At the moment I have to create multiple conditional formats and assigns for it to go to the correct person.

    I would like it so you could go, if field equals finance then assign finance manager, if field equals sales then assign to sales manager, etc

  13. General Email - Allow Separate Attachment Files

    In General Mail capture It would be quite useful to allow for attachment files to come in as separate files instead of having to unclip them. Perhaps the option, as sometimes clipped might be best. I run into this on a farily regular basis.

  14. Define reminder dates for tasks based on due dates rather than define due dates by reminder dates

    I frequently have workflows that require tasks to be due by x number of days after an indexed date.
    The problem is I can only set the reminder date by a variable, which requires me to hardcode the due date after a reminder date.

    I have a situation where a reminder date is 1 week before a due date, and the due date should be 30 days after a date index field.

    If the document is stored the day before the task needs to be due, the reminder date defaults to the following day (since a reminder cannot be set…

  16. Allow only data records in file cabinet

    As it is now common practise to use file cabinets as hidden databases for workflow assignments (i.e. Approval Matrix, Supplier List, etc.) it would be good to have an option in the file cabinet settings to prevent users from accidentally storing documents into those cabinets.

    In many cases the local DocuWare Admins who need to maintain those file cabinets are normal users and therefore may make mistakes...

  18. Allow users to Rotate Multiple Pages in the Document Overview

    There are many occasions that multiple pages or whole documents are rotated in DocuWare.

    We would like a function where we can select and rotate pages in the Document Overview in the DocuWare Document Viewer.

  19. AutoIndex with Docid

    Add the DOCID field in the list of system fields that can be assigned when doing an AutoIndex. To be able to assign this value to a metadata ot fhe document or to be able to use it in BB.DD connections in order to wirtwe it in the local tables.

  20. Remove check box in Desktop Apps Import configuration that prevents the file from importing until the file is completely written to folder

    Remove check box in desktop app folder import configuration that tells the import profile to wait to upload a file until the file is completely written to the folder. The functionality should be hard coded. I can't think of a use case where you would want to import a file that wasn't fully written to a folder.
