Make a way to change a form from using a text box to a dropdown without having to change all of the merge forms and merge form indexes
I have an enrollment form that I created over a year ago that now needs updating. When I created the form I had no previous data. Now I have data from applications that can pre-fill a lot of the demographics information. So I created a multi-column select list with that information. The problem I have now is that for each field I have to update indexes and merge form fields to match the new dropdown fields. It would be nice if I could click on a text field and say convert to dropdown and not have to change all of…

the ability to create a workflow for a merge form that has not been published.
I have an enrollment form with a whole bunch of merge forms. I am updating it and have added a merge form that has not been published yet. I would like to be able to create a workflow for that merge form but I can't because it is not published.

in a docuware form populate a second table field with data from the first table field
We have a web from that completes multiple merge forms. Docuware does not support table fields in merge forms but I do it anyway with a workflow. Having said that, I have 2 table fields that are almost identical. Emergency contact information and authorized release of child. All the emergency contacts will be authorized for the release of child and shouldn't need to be entered twice. However not everybody that is authorized to pick up the child will be listed as an emergency contact. I can do this in a workflow but it would be nice if the form could…

Give the ability to run a workflow on demand.
It would be a benefit to be able to run a workflow on demand. A workflow doesn't always need to run on schedule but just on a sporadic basis. I would be nice to kick one off manually.

New worfklow systemvariables containing Profile Data
All user accounts contain e-mail, salutation, firstname, lastname as well as out of office dates. This information should be available as system variables in the workflow manager. That would be extremely helpful to create personalized task-notifications and e-mails. (Additionally, a gender-neutral form has to be incorporated into the salutation.)

Enabling Audit Functionality for the Document Tray
We would like to enable audit functionality for the document tray.
Since the document tray is also an integral part of the system, it is necessary to track and retain all related records.

It would be helpful if, during form configuration, users could choose whether to save attached files as clipped documents or register them as independent documents.

Do not display prohibited operations in the right-click menu
The index value profile settings are set so that any document cannot be downloaded.
However, when you select a document in the web client and open the right-click menu, the "Download" menu appears.
When you try to download it, an error message appears and the download does not work.
I believe this is normal behavior, but it is confusing for users.
For documents that cannot be downloaded using the index value profile settings, hide the "Download" option in the right-click menu.2 votes -
Provide RSS feeds for DocuWare Cloud service status and incidents
We would like to request the implementation of RSS (or equivalent webhook-based) feeds for DocuWare Cloud service status and incident updates.
Currently, DocuWare Cloud service availability and incident information is published only via the web-based Status Portal. While this page is useful for manual checks, it is difficult to integrate into automated monitoring, alerting, and internal communication workflows used by many customers.
Providing an RSS feed (or webhook / API-based status updates) would allow customers to automatically monitor service status changes and react more quickly to incidents.1 vote -
DocXporter redesign and GUI interface.
DocXporter is horrid. Its a needed function, but needs redesign and stability. Errors in logs are useless. System stops in middle of downloading. My network is full fiber. Its not my network. Very very slow on output. You MUST design a front end GUI interface. Non programmers can t figure any of this out without paying EXTRA fees from tech support to set up. even the sample you provided me was just some other customers file. Was even more confusing because it had fields, functions that wont pertain to my needs. So you dont now if it needed to stay…

Restriction on FTP via Central Gateway Settings
With the Central Gateway Settings in Docuware.
We can declare IP address which can access to the platform.
It works for Docuware webapplication, but not for FTP. Even if i declare authorize IP.
Anyone can still access to the FTP.

Custom Actions in Web Client (Toolbar & Context Menu Integration)
Introduce the ability to define and execute custom actions directly from the DocuWare Web Client UI, both in the toolbar (right panel) and in the document context menu (right-click).
Today, integrating external systems or custom logic (e.g. AI processing, OCR correction, data enrichment, or external workflows, whatever ) requires indirect approaches such as workflows, external links, or background automation. Allow select list filtering against system fields
It would be useful to have the ability within Forms, to use multi-column select list filtering against system fields so users cannot see or select data other than their own previously stored data.
For instance, filter the dataset based on the original store user against the 'logged in user' initiating the form thereby eliminating #2 user from displaying the data previously stored by user #1.1 vote -

We would like to request the addition of bookmark and annotation (sticky note) features in the DocuWare viewer, similar to those available in Adobe viewers.
Customers often work with documents that contain a large number of pages and have a need to quickly navigate to specific sections. Having the ability to add bookmarks or notes would significantly improve usability and efficiency when accessing important pages.

Support JWE as a method to encrypt URLs
Currently, Docuware supports a rather .NET specific method for encrypting URLs. We have an application that should retrieve documents from Docuware using URL integration. This application natively supports Java Web Encryption (JWE) to encrypt (parts of) a URL. This is not compatible with the way Docuware expects URLs to be encrypted. Since JWE is a standard (RFC 7516) that is widely used by many applications, I think supporting it could be of real benefit to customers. Ideally, the encryption method should be configurable on the Docuware server.

I think it would be a good idea, when a person imports files into DocuWare.
It has a static table that has a static number to display. Instead of searching all files/imports every time you run a search.This figure, would incrementally increase or decrease based on adding or deleting files/imports.

As document tray is a part of Docuware system, we need an audit fonctionnality.
As part of our continuous improvement process, we have identified the need to strengthen your DocuWare configuration regarding audit trail management and supporting document retention.
Currently, some document types arrived in document tray without complete traceability. This creates gaps in the reliable audit trail and limits our ability to retrieve and validate records efficiently during internal reviews or audits.

When entering dates in a date field, as soon as a month value is entered, the day and year autofill with today's day and year.
If users want to insert today's date, they will type an 'x'. Having the system auto-filling today's day and year greatly increases the chance for errors.
PLEASE change the functionality of date fields to match all other popular programs. A date field should be one single field when entering and not 3 separate fields. Trying to edit a mistyped date is very tedious!
