  1. Zip the selected documents when multiple documents are selected to be attached to a message with the Send function

    There is a request that includes selecting individual pages too. Though, it is not clear why this isn't done by default already. When multiple documents are selected for Download, they are zipped. Why do we download the whole file rather than zip it when they are to be attached to an e-mail?

  5. Multi-factor login authentication as a security option

    It would be nice to be able to have a multi-factor login authentication as a security option. We have users who work in DocuWare while they are on the road and it would be nice to toggle this feature on/off per user as an extra layer of security.

    Of course the security of our users is important to us.
    As you have noticed, this idea still has the same status, but was not declined. That means we evaluate it regularly.

    One reason why we have decided not to add this security feature yet is that we will first change the authentication flow.
    As a first step, we introduced the Identity Service in the DocuWare Cloud with Version 7.3, which allows integration with Azure AD and the use of MFA there.
    The next step is to force users to use SSO only. However, to ensure this, we still need to make some changes in our authentication flow.
    We are also planning to bring these functions to DocuWare On-Premises.
    Afterwards we will evaluate extending the login with DocuWare credentials with MFA/2FA.

    We are constantly striving to improve our products and appreciate your feedback and contribution.

  6. Improve keyword string splitting mechanism

    When you put a string inside a keyword field/variable, the system split the string in separate keyword entries at each space or comma in the string wich is simply horrible to handle.

    You have a dirty workaround solution by putting your string in a text variable concatenated with quotes and then assign the text variable in the keyword field.

    Plus, currently, if there is quotes inside the string itself (for example, french words and/or expressions are using quotes), your trick with the intermediate string variable doesn't work at all...

  8. Add related docs and preferences to mobile client

    Add a link to related docs in the mobile client.

    Also add the ability to hide/prioritize lists, searches, etc like you can in the windows explorer client and web client.

  9. Create a mass delete within the "temp" document tray due to the fact if you have an issue during import all the files get placed there.

  10. Integrate DocuWare's Out of Office setting with Exchange

    It would make the jobs of both users and workflow controllers easier if the Out of Office setting in DocuWare could match a user's Out of Office settings in Exchange/Outlook

  11. Workflow E-Mail function don´t use the concatenated docname

    When I set up the e-mail function in a workflow and try to attach the concerned document with it everything works fine besides that the attached document does not use the correct document name.

    It use the original name before it was imported to the archive. Our scanner name the documents like docxxxxxxxxxxx.

    When I try to send the same document manually with the sending button of the tool bar in the document viewer (web client) everything works fine and the attached item is named with the index field which is configured as docname.

  12. Add DW Control font to Merge Form Designer

    Somewhat related to Idea #: 18813022 but maybe a quicker implementation due to using current functionality.

    Allow the use of the DW Control font that would insert the codes needed based on options available when the font was chosen.

    So all the commands listed at this link about DW Control:

    The ones that make sense could be available for use in order to quickly scan and index any printed out forms that were completed by hand later.

  13. CHECK DATES FOR SIGNATURES

    I would like that you improve the programm with an option to check the dates of the signatures.
    For example, if you made a signature in a date, that I could check the signatures between, for example, two dates.
    For example, for the "contabilized signature", it can be useful to know the month where one invoice have been contabilized, and informed to the administration.

  14. Be able to search for documents by what user stored them

    When I am doing quality data checks on our documents that are stored in Docuware, it would be much easier to be able to search by what user stored the documents, not what what the document is/when it was stored.

  15. close the activity with the Enter key on the keyboard

    If I have to validate multiple documents and modify indexes, it wolud be nice that after last index entry I can close the activity with the enter key.

    knowing that it could be dangerous in approval flows,
    you could implement a function in workflow manager where you can enable/disable this option

  16. Purge WF history instances

    It would be nice to select WF history instances and purge them, leaving only the most recent.

  17. Allow Custom Zoom %'s When Opening Documents in Docuware

    I would like a function in Docuware to allow each document you open to zoom in to a specific % so it is easily read. It will save countless times of clicking to zoom in only to discover this isn't the document you needed and have to repeat the process again on the next document.

  18. When you create a Folder and a Windows Client, the first column is the File Name.

    Many DocuWare customers, including many customers from older version of DocuWare, have and index for file name, and set as the Document Name.

    Now, when they create a new Folder, the first column is the file name. But, when documents are scanned into DocuWare, or imported from a network folder, the file name often is repeated, SCAN1.pdf, SCAN2.pdf, and so on. This can be very confusing to new users.

    There needs to be a setting that will allow you to hide the File Name when you create a Folder, or reorder it to be in different column location.

  19. Please make it possible to do a word search or number search in the document tray to filter out duplicates.

    On a daily basis we receive a large amount of Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the raw materials that are delivered. There will be multiple copies of the COA's for the same lot and then there will be other lots attached as well. I am unable to take the time to look through all of them, so we scan everything. Once they are in the document tray I need a solution to filter out the duplicate COA's before I store them. For instance, right now I have 600 COA's I need to store but I know I could get rid…

  20. Retain original file format in merge forms

    For example if you use a word doc as the document to accept merge data into then store as a word doc and not convert to a pdf. Thereby enabling edit capability going forward.
