Add ability to save your desktop setup as Workspace's
Concerning the general layout of the two possible desktop areas (where you choose two panes or one) of DW.
We all use trays, searches, lists and task in certain layouts but it tends to get busy especially as a system admin or someone with access to multiple Filing Cabinets.
It would be nice to save a layout and name it. I like to have both areas set up on different Trays so I can drag and drop items back and forth to hit certain Intelligent Indexing/Storage configs. Then I have another view that shows a list of recently stored documents…

add Notes pane to workflow task view
The only way users currently have of adding comments to a document as it goes through a workflow is to use the "edit text annotation" function, which is not very visible and can easily be missed. A good idea may be to add a Notes pane to the task area in the bottom-left. In the same way that the users can flip between the various decisions they have as part of the task by clicking the decision buttons on the left side, a couple of buttons can be put on the top: one saying "Task" and the other saying "Notes".…

Hide Document Trays
the ability to hide Document Trays tab globally or by user/group if not in use.

Way to organize forms in the configure view- store in seperate folders or a way to search, sort etc.

Make the highlighter tool like the one in Word or Google Docs.
The current highlighter tool covers up the word it is highlighting to much. Also it should not be a freestyle highlighter, but used like that in Word or Google Docs.

Due Date from Start
It would be nice to be able to configure a Due Date from when the workflow Starts. The problem is that every time a new TASK begins the due date has to start over. I have had several clients who have lets say a total of 25 days to complete a workflow.

Ability to color code lines in the Invoice Search Dialog Box
To provide the user(s) the ability to color code specific line items. there are line items that are not being worked due to various reasons however one has to continuously go back into the invoice to see notes as opposed to being able to highlight a line to know it can not be worked at this time, etc.

Add additional page for stamps
Reviewing the invoices can be difficult as there is not enough room for the stamps, so the stamp and the underlying text becomes illegible. Another seperate sheet solely for stamps might be an idea.

FC Folders: Indicate which fields require a select list and which are free form
When creating a folder view for a File Cabinet, there no indication which text fields are pulled from a closed select list and which accept any text input. This is annoying when you then try to create a new folder, only to find out when storing a file that the folder name does not match the select list.

merge layers in a workflow
add an option to be able to merge layers as part of a workflow so I don't have to create a task for someone to manually click the 'merge layers' button.

Change the default file cabinets when searching multiple file cabinets
Our client would like the ability to change the default file cabinets that are selected when performing a search across multiple file cabinets. Whenever you do a multi-file cabinet search, the same file cabinets are always selected. In an instance that you say want to select the same 4 file cabinets every time, you would have to add the same 2 file cabinets every time and couldn't change it to default to 4 file cabinets. This has been tested by DW support and confirmed not to be a function of DocuWare currently.

In versions 5 when it was digitized with electronic certificate a symbol was shown in the display.

show number of full text results within a document
Hi, When using full text search for key word(s), it would be really useful to know how many results with the document there are. We can see the number of documents it exists in but not the number of times within that document

Add a Send Request action icon to the Viewer Tools area
When opening a document in viewer only the option of using the "Send Request" feature without requiring a search result would be very beneficial. This would also allow a quick method from Explorer Client by selecting "Open in Viewer" and then performing a Send Request.

Make more options global
This list of enhancements is not related to task lists only. Of course, this is the perspective of one user but I do believe some of these enhancements would make user and file cabinet administration much simpler.

Calendar Invite for workflow
We have many workflows where the process is sending the date and time of an event in an automated e-mail through workflow manager using the date / time feature. It would be wonderful if we could have the option in workflow designer to generate a calendar invite.

I suggest that you allow rearranging index fields on the "edit index field" screen.
Currently, the list of index fields shown on the "edit index field" screen are in order of when they were created. It would be great to allow rearranging of the list so they are in a more user friendly order, and not just "this is how I added them into Docuware" order.
