Bring back the < (searches below the number) and > (searches above number)
If we've inadvertently missed a number when indexing, we used to be able to find the document by typing in "9xx..." in the search option and it would pull all the numbers that fall under (or above) it and, therefore, would be easier to locate. For example, I'm looking for the account number 2140463374 but obviously we've missed / transposed a number somewhere. So I would enter <2140463999 and have all the indexed numbers UNDER it pull up.

Smart Connect (Search) - unable to append files to the result list
Allow users to append files to result list from Smart Search. Now, the function "clip" is not present, when user is using Smart Search.

Allow Drag and Drop when Rearranging Individual Pages in a Document
We often have to add new pages into a document already stored in Docuware. When un-stapling a document it would be nice to be able to drag and drop the pages around to change the order that they are stored in the document.

Workflow Controller tasks in separate tabs, please
In DocuWare 7 the tasks which ran into an error (assigned to deleted user, or so) now pop up as tasks for the workflow controllers! That is really good, but it would be nice to have those tasks in a separate tab so that the controllers, who are usually rather busy users on the workflows (accounts payable team, etc) can easily differentiate between their normal tasks and the ones they have been assigned to because of their "Controller" role.

give workflow designers the ability to customize font styles in workflow tasks
It would be great if we could customize the font that displays Descriptions in workflow tasks. I'm using those to give users additional information so they can make the proper decision (eg. error messages or data validation messages like "DocuWare has detected a duplicate invoice with such-and-such information", etc) and it would make these much more effective if we could make the more critical pieces of information stand out a bit, either by making them boldface, a larger font size, or a different font colour.

Allow processing import configurations via an autoindex workflow
Sometimes when mass importing you find an import template needed to allow for changes in labeling or location of data. It may be that an entirely new template needs to be created.
It would be amazing if you were able to send documents that already exist in DocuWare into a processing queue that would run another recognition on the document(s). By applying a filter you would limit it to only run on documents that you want to process.

add a configurable stamp activity to Workflow Designer
Add a specific activity in the Workflow Designer that places a configurable stamp. Give the designer the ability to pick the location of the stamp (either have DocuWare automatically place it, as it does now, or have the workflow creator input X and Y coords), and let the workflow creator pick the global variables or index fields or text for the stamp. We have several workflows that have a lot of fields in the decision tasks and the resulting stamp is huge and contains a lot of info that isn't required.

have the ability to reorder pages in docuware easier
Reordering a document that is in docuware is cumbersome and very difficult. Especially if it is a large document. There is no way to check out a document and check it back in if the first page of the document you are reordering isn't the same. What if we didn't want page 1 to be page 1?

Allow "regular" standard select lists in Forms rather than always doing the filtering thing.
When filling out a form, it is now possible to type arbitrary text into select list entry fields. This filtering behavior is not commonly found on webpages and has caused some consistent confusion and frustration for our customers and their clients when forms won't submit.
Not all users of these forms are super savvy, especially for public forms, where users are not familiar with the concept of filtering. They type something in, and say "i'm done with that one" and move on.
Regular drop down lists that you click a choice and that's it should be allowed as an option.…

Keep viewer open when clipping a new document
Users would like to be able to see the original document when clipping a new one. Currently the viewed document closes as soon as the tray opens for selecting a document to clip. The stored documents have a number and the new ones in the tray have that same number. All the numbers look similar, so currently behavior requires that the user memorize which number is to be selected. With many documents in the tray and frequent phone calls and interruptions they can make mistakes, which then are hard to fix because clipped documents cannot be easily edited.

Restore "*Required" Field Errors Back To Webforms
Our DocuWare Cloud instance was recently upgraded to v.7. Since the upgrade, our webforms no longer display errors above the Submit button when *Required fields are incomplete.
In v.7, the descriptive language regarding fields that are incomplete (e.g. "errors") do not appear on webforms. Rather, the "Submit" button remains greyed out and cannot be clicked until the errors are corrected.
Sorry to say, without the helpful errors actually displaying on screen, our users cannot figure out why the Submit button won't light up. One of our webforms is very long and contains many *Required fields. The users simply cannot intuit…

Make the transfer of a message to approvers of invoices an automatic feature.
Program the system in a way that once invoices are loaded the approvers receive and email. Also that once the first approver exercises his duty the invoices are automatically forwarded to the next approver.

Ability to store a Form in Document Tray or File Cabinet
Currently you can only store a Form directly into a File Cabinet with a store dialog. Need ability to store into a Document Tray as well. When storing with Import, Printer or email you have option to store document into Document Tray or File Cabinet

To help find duplicate document, i suggest that docuware creates a checksum of each stored document and provides a way to find the duplicates.
