  1. DW Dsesktop Dependencies need to be upgraded.

    For DW Desktop to work properly, MS visual c++ redist 2010 needs to be installed.
    This product is EoL and EoS from Microsoft years ago. This poses an security risk.
    And larger companies escpesially, do not want to have old outdated components installed.

  3. Adding a new document version in one step - upload new version

    DocuWare is greatly lacking the option to directly add a new document version - upload new version (select document, confirm). This would significantly enhance the system's usability in certain cases and greatly simplify its use.

  4. Associate different SMTP configurations to specific Workflows

    Currently you can create multiple SMTP configurations to be used as the sender for workflow email notifications. Is a big mistake to not be able to associate this to different Workflows.
    A good option could be selecting the SMTP configured account via a dropdown select box.

  5. Add option when setting out of office for the user to choose who their back up should be

    Using substitution rules is a challenge to manage and eliminates the ability to use variable assignments. It would be nice if an end user could choose who their back up should be and then have the workflow route accordingly.

  6. Enable to use the default select list values when using a Japanese Keyboard.

    *Entering numbers for example “１２３４” as the whole width version(全角) into numeric or decimal fields and hitting the spacebar would enter into the field as “12341234...”. Try entering a number by letting that number selection menu open, and press space bar and arrow keys. Using numpad, numpad area on the regular keyboard or numbers on the top of the keyboard all same behavior.

    Using numbers on the top row on the keyboard:
    1 Enter １２３４ as the whole width version(全角)
    2 hit space bar: empty
    3 hit space bar again then duplicate 1234. like 12341234 *it seems whenever spacebar hit…

  7. kill a workflow instance from workflow designer

    If for some reason, a document in a middle of a workflow needs to be archive. there is no way to automatically kill the workflow instance of this document.
    For exemple it could be usefull in the following case:
    A contract document processing into multiple worklow at the same time for validation need to be cancelled.
    The user put a cancel stamp on the Document.
    Then, all those workflow instances need to be killed.
    Today, an admin need to select all workflow instance to kill them one by one which is not really pratical (this is manual).

  8. Make it so that when creating a workflow for a document created with a merge form you can use it for multiple forms.

    I have several merge forms that create the same document. For example employee benefits. When a new employee is hired they fill out a form and choose what benefit packages they want, 401(k) investment options and everything. But then I have a merge form for each option individually like just health insurance because an employee might want to make a change to just one of those benefits like the birth of a child. There wouldn't be any reason to fill out the 401(k) part for that. The problem I have is that I need to create multiple workflows that are…

    We have a mixed license environment where we have traded some Concurrent Licences to Named Licenses. The Time-Out setting affects all licenses. We want the Named Licenses to never time-out.

  10. Introduce a Brief Course on the Business Use Cases of Workflow

    The LMS provides several courses for DSC's on the components of DocuWare Workflow and in fact a pre-requisite for the course is a DSC certification. It would be ideal that a short business course is designed for DSAs to aid them with understanding several business uses of workflow and mention them during their engagements with prospects. The business uses of workflow are indeed embedded in the various case studies listed on the DocuWare website . it would be ideal to so as to say extract such cases and centralize them.   11. Keep My Tasks in the order the user puts them

    When a document enters a workflow and the tab appears in My Tasks, can these be kept in the order that the user puts them even when the tabs disappear and reappear?

  12. [Document Processing] extract indexes from specific areas on documents other than PDF files

    Currently, indexes can only be extracted from specified areas on PDF and XML files. I would like this functionality to be available for other file types, such as Word documents, as well.

  13. Workflow tasks migration

    When a change is made on a workflow, a new version is created. A lot of documents are in an older version. It could be nice to migrate those tasks into the new workflow version.

  15. Be able to have documents translated and saved back as another PDF

    It would be nice to be able to submit a DocuWare from say "Spanish", but then have that document translated to English and saved back to DocuWare as another PDF.

  17. Date calculation in Form

    Request to include Date calculation in field calculations in form designer. Example of Leave Application. When Employee applies for Leave and fills in Start Date and End Date Total Leave Days to be calculated based on End Date - Start Date. Another example could be Travel Request form when Employee fills Start Date and End Date.

  18. Further restrict access to Restore documents in Trash Bin

    Please add the ability to restrict access to the Restore button in the Trash Bin. The attached is where I would expect to find this control.

    The following provides guidance when there is access to the Restore button, and to which documents the user may restore. I've summed it up like this, based upon File Cabinet permissions.

    Those who are set as file cabinet Owner may see and Restore all deleted files.
    A file cabinet User (who has delete permissions) may Restore only those documents they have deleted, this means that the Restore button exists.

  19. DocuWare mobile app - Add the ‘Folders’ menu to the mobile application

    In the mobile application we don't have access to the Folders menu when it's set up.

    It would be useful to be able to access it through the mobile application in the same way as the Windows Explorer add-on for example.

    Is multi-tenant SSO included in the road map ?
    It is essential for multi-company and multi-AD customers where they have to synchronise more than one AD due to the number of managed companies.
