expanded use of Table fields
I was excited to see the new table field type in version 7.1. However, it does not appear that I will be able to use it as planned.
Our situation: We will receive a check from one our clients who may have several accounts with us. In the accompanying instructions, the client requests to have the check amount distributed evenly among all of their accounts. The instructions may or may not specify account numbers and amounts.
Once the values have been distributed to each account, we still need to have the capability to search for and retrieve the document using…2 votes -

We need certain fields to be numeric, so cannot use the text field "workaround"

make data validation use graphical editor tools
we currently have the ability to validate data by hooking a web service into a store dialog but that requires either JS or C# coding. It'd be great if we could use the graphical editor tools to build these validations (eg. the data validation builder that's part of workflow tasks)

Adding more document format via the viewer
Hi all,
It will be great to expand DocuWare market in order to add aditonal format to the viewer. See attachment with file I need.

Add a feature to choose a certain page to scroll to when viewing instead of just the arrows.
Allow the user to choose a page number to scroll to in the same manner as available in Adobe.

Set up role or group to have restricted only download in PDF file format
Ability to set users to only be able to download documents in PDF format irrelevant of their original format they was unloaded in
The document will still be stored as it was uploaded however certain groups that are read only would only be able to download PDFs

Allow pages to be deleted from a document prior to storing in File Cabinet
In some cases documents include a mix of double-sided and single-sided pages. If the document is scanned at a local copier it does not allow you to opt for automatic blank page removal like a scan station might. This means that the scanner picks up the blank side of a single-sided document, making the document larger than necessary. It would be great to have the ability to remove these pages without having to unstaple all the pages to remove them, then to restaple. Make stamps searchable
Stamps do not appear to be searchable. It would be very beneficial if a content search be able to search these stamps.

More Stamp Colors
We need more stamp color options besides red, green, black, blue, and yellow. Yellow is useless on a white background. When multiple departments are touching the same document, it would be helpful to color code department stamps. Thank you.

Select List - Choose Variable Item Count Shown
The 50 item limit for return in a Select List can be an issue. For instance, I have a list of GL Codes where the users are not expected to know enough to type ahead and reference items that they cannot see. They need to see the whole list. Not the first time I've run up against this and seems like it might not be too much trouble to let us choose how many returns will show in the unfiltered list.

System# oder Organisation in Fehler-Mails anzeigen
In den E-Mails, die die Cloud bei Fehlern versendet fehlt ein Hinweis um welchen Kunden es sich handelt.
Ohne diese ist es mühsam den betroffenen Kunden zu finden um Support zu leisten.
Die System#, der Name der Organisation oder wenigstens die URL der betroffenen Cloud-Instanz würde hier enorm helfen.

Enable Tab Key based selections from Select Lists or any multiple selection opportunity
Common complaint is the Down Arrow and Return method currently in place for selecting an option from a Select List or other multiple selection opportunities in DocuWare. The Tab Key method is almost universal and it never fails that the clients are put off by not being able to use this choice. Adding to the frustration is that if you're using the Down Arrow then Enter in a Workflow task and accidentally hit Enter twice the second Enter confirms the task when that is not desired. I encounter this quite often. What do you think?

Sort documents based on Username in Document Tray
Multiple people scan documents into a Document Tray. I would like the ability to sort documents based on user that submitted them. I need multiple people using the same Document Tray so if one person becomes unavailable, someone else can go in and work on their documents. We don't want each user to have their own Document Tray as we have over 8,000 users.

Add the ability to adjust the layout of the preview pane to be above or below the tray.
To better fit on a Portrait mode monitor, please add a setting to the preview pane to switch it from being next to the tray to being either below or above the tray. This will allow for a much higher density of information in a single window with the preview pane when viewing on a portrait monitor, which is popular for document viewing.

Dynamically Update Workflow tasks assigned to roles
When a workflow task is assigned to a role, a task is simultaneously generated for every user who is a member of that role. This is problematic because when new colleagues are added to the role, they are unable to see workflow tasks that were created before they joined.

Be able to modify type (Word, Excel, PDF, etc.) during the life of a document
It would be interesting to be able to change the type of a document during its lifetime.

Form Only Store Dialogues
Can you please make it so it is possible for people who have permissions to see a form able to store that form without having to assign them the store dialogue that is then visible in the web client. We have loads of customers that want users to be able to save forms but don’t want the user to have a whole load of store dialogues in the web client for the relevant cabinets. I guess the simple way would be to add a tick box to a store dialogue to ask if this was for forms use only so…

Attempts to Logon by Inactive Accounts Notify Administrator
If an User Account is disabled by unchecking the Active checkbox, and the user attempts to logon to DocuWare, the user now gets a message that their account is inactive. We want the Administrator to be notified of the logon attempt.

Improve Field Masks for Correction Replacement
Similar to other requests to automatically insert dashes for SSNs, the United States uses Vehicle Identificaiton Number (VIN). The VIN is composed of 17 characters (digits and capital letters) that act as a unique identifier for the vehicle. The VIN does not include the letters O (o), I (i), and Q (q) (to avoid confusion with numerals 0, 1, and 9). We would like any O (letter) to be dynamically set to 0 (numeral), I (letter) to be set to 1 (numeral), and Q/q (letter) to be set to 9 (numeral).

POP-UP Notification
In addition to E-mail notifications I would like to suggest a pop-up notification using desktop apps letting the users know that they have tasks pending.
E-Mails seem to get lost and don't continually prompt a user to complete their task. Or users might not have access to E-Mail. This should be on option people can mute or turn off.18 votes
