expanded use of Table fields
I was excited to see the new table field type in version 7.1. However, it does not appear that I will be able to use it as planned.
Our situation: We will receive a check from one our clients who may have several accounts with us. In the accompanying instructions, the client requests to have the check amount distributed evenly among all of their accounts. The instructions may or may not specify account numbers and amounts.
Once the values have been distributed to each account, we still need to have the capability to search for and retrieve the document using…2 votes -
Able to add Stamps without decisions
Able to add Stamps without decisions being stamped as well.
Ie FIELD = COMMENTS
Stamp just posts
USER AND TIMEbut the field will still copy to comments.

Select a role as a select list for drop down lists in DocuWare Forms
I want to be able to populate a drop down list with users from a role, without having to create a select list that mirrors the role.

Provide this option in Workflow to auto open or not the next record
Create a setting allowing any user to enable/disable whether the next invoice in the approval task list automatically pops open when you are completed with your 1st one.
This is currently an option for Stamps, but not for Workflow. Why not? In the configuration of Stamps, it is possible to select when the next record is opened, or when the current document is closed. It is assumed in Workflow that the next record should be automatically opened.

Adding more document format via the viewer
Hi all,
It will be great to expand DocuWare market in order to add aditonal format to the viewer. See attachment with file I need.

Allow users that have access to several select lists to modify some lists but not others.
When users use more than one select list, it may be necessary for them to edit some lists but not be permitted to edit others. Right now, this is an either/or situation They can either edit all lists or no lists.

If a vendor sends multiple attachments in one email, that each attachment was separated into individual documents in DW tray
Many vendors send multiple attachments in one email. When stored to the New Invoices tray all the attachments are clipped together as one document. Would love it if each attachment was stored as an individual document

link annotations with index fields
It would be great to give the ability to annotations to auto-populate index fields, like the stamps do. Since stamps are permanent and cannot be edited or deleted, the annotations are more user friendly for "live documents" that are being updated.

Add ability to filter multi column select lists on a fixed entry
A Multi Column select list should have the option to set the filter field to a fixed value. For instance I wan't the select list locked down to only show field Document Number that have a Status = 'complete'. Please make this available in forms as well.

Add shortcut to download selected file from clipped documents
With document which contains several clipped files we can not download selected clipped file (which preview is currently displayed) using any shortcut - we can only download complete document set as ZIP.

Display ALL of the select list options even if a value is present
When a value is already present in an index field, popping up the menu of acceptable values only shows an option for what is already in the field! That's pretty much useless. The end used has to delete what is there before he can change it to something else.

Multi Filtering
Now that we have filtering, next step is to be able to filter multiple fields and not only one. Excel filters work great... also great if the display field would adapt to the size of the content that is being filtered... and lastly, systemwide support for this feature.... every list table needs filtering!!

Add the ability to adjust the layout of the preview pane to be above or below the tray.
To better fit on a Portrait mode monitor, please add a setting to the preview pane to switch it from being next to the tray to being either below or above the tray. This will allow for a much higher density of information in a single window with the preview pane when viewing on a portrait monitor, which is popular for document viewing.

autoindex document tray
Document Trays should have the ability to autoindex when documents come in and either automatically store to File Cabinet or Pre-Index the documents as they arrive. This would alleviate the need to setup folder imports for the most part.

Store Automatically Currently ignores the settings in the selected store dialog. It should still default values in fields etc.
Personally I think this is a bug. Currently Store Dialog settings like preloaded default values are ignored. If you select multiple documents in a tray and use the Store Automatically the settings of the store dialog are not processed. This causes huge issues if a status field for instance was preloaded to kick off a particular workflow. The user is allowed to do it but the documents get stored without the necessary default index values and the user has no idea the fields were not filled in as they are if they store one at a time with the store…
15 votesThank you for your idea. We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

allow us to control which store dialogs can be seen from a document tray
document trays are used for different things. eg. invoices coming in to one facility go into a particular document tray (from C2Mailor or from DWImport from a hotfolder linked to that facility's MFP, or users at that facility only have access to that C2O configuration, etc). Wouldn't it be great if any of those invoices could only be stored using one particular store dialog (eg. the Invoices one), even if that particular user also had access to a store dialog for contracts or other documents that never ended up in this tray? That would simplify the user's menus, reduce possible…

Background image for the sign field
Instead of just having a white background for the sign field, allow using a background image in order to make a diagram.
Included, one example of a bus background image on which user can simply draw where the problem is located for instance.
