autoindex document tray
Document Trays should have the ability to autoindex when documents come in and either automatically store to File Cabinet or Pre-Index the documents as they arrive. This would alleviate the need to setup folder imports for the most part.

Store Automatically Currently ignores the settings in the selected store dialog. It should still default values in fields etc.
Personally I think this is a bug. Currently Store Dialog settings like preloaded default values are ignored. If you select multiple documents in a tray and use the Store Automatically the settings of the store dialog are not processed. This causes huge issues if a status field for instance was preloaded to kick off a particular workflow. The user is allowed to do it but the documents get stored without the necessary default index values and the user has no idea the fields were not filled in as they are if they store one at a time with the store…
15 votesThank you for your idea. We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

allow us to control which store dialogs can be seen from a document tray
document trays are used for different things. eg. invoices coming in to one facility go into a particular document tray (from C2Mailor or from DWImport from a hotfolder linked to that facility's MFP, or users at that facility only have access to that C2O configuration, etc). Wouldn't it be great if any of those invoices could only be stored using one particular store dialog (eg. the Invoices one), even if that particular user also had access to a store dialog for contracts or other documents that never ended up in this tray? That would simplify the user's menus, reduce possible…

Background image for the sign field
Instead of just having a white background for the sign field, allow using a background image in order to make a diagram.
Included, one example of a bus background image on which user can simply draw where the problem is located for instance.

version field in task
Please allow to add the WF Version field as a column. This would allow users to filter or order by that field, when doing multiple tasks. Currently it is only visible as supervisor.

Change trade to non-trade
When you switch the invoice from trade to non-trade, it should show up in non-trade list. This is not happening at this moment. I then have to go and find said invoice if I didn't copy it to my personal file. It would be a much cleaner list and no duplicates vouched and stored. This would just be for convenience, not really needed. Also the other way around doesn't do anything. It keeps the invoice in the non-trade list.

stamping idea
I suggest that you improve stamping as to you can highlight a lot of of documents at once(ctr+a) and be able to stamp them at one go than to open first then stamp, time consummation.

Swap to Acrobat Reader for PDF in order to see the digital signature or the PDF/A version
in acrobat you can see the detail in a left pane of the digital signature as well as the version of the PDF/A (2b, 3u, etc) or the content of the PDF/X which is the next norm for digital invoices (xml embedded in the pdf)

Have the email address show up vs the clients name after the email is stored in docuware
Have the email address show up vs the clients name after the email is stored in docuware. Work around RIGHT CLICK edit is not up to par, if you can show the CLIENTS name , why cant it just display the Users full email address

Display an error message with a reason when editing multiple index entries
When you edit multiple index entries at once via a resultlist and for example it needs to be a value from a selectlist it simply displays failed to update x amount of documents." I would propose you show the reason why it failed.
i.e. "Failed to update x out of x documents. the value was not in the selectlist"

Specify initial doc version on Store
Provide for a user to choose the initial version number value for the document when storing under Version Management.
When replacing another system, documents may come with existing version numbers and need to progress from that point easily when migrated to DocuWare.

Cast Autoindex fields to change datatypes
There are many times that a datatype needs to be converted to a different one. INT to VARCHAR etc - This should be a choice in Autoindex per field not just the creation on a new SQL view or using Workflow Manager

Possibility to add individual help text in dialogs
Especially for new employees it would help if you could add help text or bubbles next to the index fields in search and store dialogs, where you can provide useful hints and descriptions what this field is about and if there are some special things to take care...
This would make on-boarding of new employees a lot easier.

Ability to apply Result List dialogs to a List dialog's results
Currently docuware lists allows for only manual selection of fields for results of a list. We have dozens of lists that would follow the same fieldsm. Having the ability to select a result dialog for list's result would make this process much easier at scale.

Supporting PostgeSQL
Has DocuWare looked into supporting PostgreSQL? It is an open source product that is quickly overtaking Oracle as a the big guy on the block. Can manage as many users as you want and PETABYTES of data.
There are also features within the product supports a multitude of sophisticated query, index, partitioning of tables and Isolations as well as JIT, Parallelization of reads and indexing. Suuports PITR actively and security authentication can be as complicated as you want. Supports procedural language like PGSQL. Perl, Python etc, supports foreign data wrapping to connect to other datasbases or streams using the SQL…

make data validation use graphical editor tools
we currently have the ability to validate data by hooking a web service into a store dialog but that requires either JS or C# coding. It'd be great if we could use the graphical editor tools to build these validations (eg. the data validation builder that's part of workflow tasks)

Add a feature to choose a certain page to scroll to when viewing instead of just the arrows.
Allow the user to choose a page number to scroll to in the same manner as available in Adobe.

Ability to email select pages
Currently the "Send" feature allows you to email the whole document, or the current page. It would be great if you could choose which pages you wanted to send. If I have a 10 page document and I want to send 4 pages of it, I either have to send 4 separate "one page" emails, or I have to send the job to the doc tray, unstaple the job, clip together the pages I want, and then send them.

Allow preindexing in an Intelligent Indexing document tray
When you are bulk storing docs via Intelligent Indexing, you still want them stored in the file cabinet in the order they were captured.
So the user will want to 'Store Automatically' the entire group. However, a couple may have to have index fields fixed first. Should be able to preindex them without having to store them out of order
