When you create a Folder and a Windows Client, the first column is the File Name.
Many DocuWare customers, including many customers from older version of DocuWare, have and index for file name, and set as the Document Name.
Now, when they create a new Folder, the first column is the file name. But, when documents are scanned into DocuWare, or imported from a network folder, the file name often is repeated, SCAN1.pdf, SCAN2.pdf, and so on. This can be very confusing to new users.
There needs to be a setting that will allow you to hide the File Name when you create a Folder, or reorder it to be in different column location.

Please make it possible to do a word search or number search in the document tray to filter out duplicates.
On a daily basis we receive a large amount of Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the raw materials that are delivered. There will be multiple copies of the COA's for the same lot and then there will be other lots attached as well. I am unable to take the time to look through all of them, so we scan everything. Once they are in the document tray I need a solution to filter out the duplicate COA's before I store them. For instance, right now I have 600 COA's I need to store but I know I could get rid…

Create barcode in forms merge
It would be helpful to be able to generate a 2D barcode which combines multiple index values while generating a PDF form from a web form. This way you could embed all the index values into a single barcode for simple index capture if the form needs to be printed and re-scanned.

Bring back the Print Result List button
Previous versions of the thick client had a Print Result List button that would print a result list directly to a printer. I have customers that use this to report on recently stored documents. Now they have several more steps to work around this missing button.
The older Thick client -
1. Search for documents.
2. Click button to print result list. - - It would be printed directly to a printer. (In a readable format.)The Web Client.

Possibility to open the full DocuWare Webclient from a resultlist
When a ResultList is open, the ability to transfer the resultlist to a full webclient would be good. Many users are missing the viewer and also the inconvenience of closing the result list window and opening a new DocuWare webclient.

Field setting changes on all result views
If we have 15 result views and if we need to change the select list of an specific field, we need to manually change each single result view. We suggest to have a method to adjust all the fields at the same time. The tool might show a pop up to select the result views we want to change.

Allow dynamic selection of document to merge with in a merge form configuration.
Perhaps documents selectable from a cabinet (rather than selected from an explorer browse window) dedicated as these type of templates.

Open Workflow Task from a Search/Result List
Since there is no way to filter a Workflow, it would be nice to Open the current activity from a Search/Result List. For example, you can open the Workflow History, but you should be able to take the next activity

I suggest you use the user's local setting to set up the date on forms.
The UK has a date format of day/month/year and given I click on a calendar to select the date often the error is not seen until the 04/06 2017 or was that the 06/04/2017?

allow Users to set their own default values for fields
We currently have the ability to set default values for fields in the store dialogs. These defaults are tied to the store dialog itself though so if you wanted to set up different defaults for different users you'd have to create separate store dialogs. It would be great if Users could set their own defaults.
One way that could work is to add a "Set Defaults" menu item to the context menu for the store dialog (see attached screenshot). To use it the user would fill out the store dialog with their desired defaults in some (or all) of the…

Multi Column Select List - Auto-Populate Data Once a Feld Is Selected
Hi,
Is this possible......
Multi-Column select lists.......
If a user selects an entry in a field using a multi column select list, it auto populates the data in the other fields that are configured in that store dialog using the multi-column select list.
I think this could be a very powerful feature that would eliminate a lot of processing time. If configured and programmed correctly, using a database connection select list, it could enhance DocuWare considerably.

ability to hide or disable 'create data record'
end users are confused easily. I highly recommend adding the ability to hide or disable 'create data record' option in the web client. could be permissions driven or just a check box. I've had many users select this option when they really wanted 'store'.

When sorting a list with the "Sort by" button, the "reset sorting" option may not be accessible.
In presence of a long sort field list, as such list is not scrollable, the "reset sorting" option, figuring at the bottom of the list, may not be accessible.

See the progress of fulltext index for all file cabinets
You can access full text status in the admin tool. Give the ability to see a list of cabinet status in one view with a % of file cabinet that has been indexed.

Restrict annotation visibility based on profile
Customers like to use annotations on documents however if a user from a different profile logs in they too can see the annotation. If there was a way to hide them based on the profile that would be great.

Edit several index fields when selecting a group of documents
When you select a group of documents to edit an index field, it could be usefull the posibility to modify more tan one field. Right now, there is only the posibility to modify one index field at once.

Calendar Invite for workflow
We have many workflows where the process is sending the date and time of an event in an automated e-mail through workflow manager using the date / time feature. It would be wonderful if we could have the option in workflow designer to generate a calendar invite.

The folder view does not display the first level field name.
In the Docuware folder view, the first column of the hierarchal result is labeled as "NAME" instead of the actual name of the field selected.

FullText search result list to show summary view of first keyword
In the application of a legal store and retrieval project scenario when doing a FullText search could the result list show a summary of text before and after the first found keyword to give some basic context to the document found. For example; you search for "John Smith litigation" and you can preview a sentence like "in 1975, John Smith company was in a litigation battle because...."
This sentence would appear in a mouse-over bubble in the result list per returned document. Currently having to double click and have the complete first page open up is a slow process when…

documentcreation tool
most document management software offers the possibilities to extract stored document data and export it into a Word template. From there you can complete the document and store it as a new document in DocuWare. I guess this issue has been asked a few years ago and i don't see it comming. Most of my prospects are asking for this feature.
