DW Platform login with JWT token
Since we have the option to use REST services, it would be nice to be able to use DocuWare platform with REST requests in Workflow Designer. This is not possible at the moment. If we could create API users or just be able to retrieve token > store in GV and use it for next request. This would extend the possibilities in workflow designer and in some cases it would not be necessary to program and host own Web service.
6 votesThank you for your idea. We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

Allow storer to select "store document in black and white" when scanned in color
Documents stored in color are much larger than those in black and white. Allow user to require documents to be stored only in b/w, even if this causes a color document to be converted to b/w pdf prior to storing. Should be able to be over-ridden by authorized users.

Processing Profiles - Split into Multiple Documents - Each with own set of indexing values and read out areas
Transferring from other DMS's - Users normally scanned a pack of documents as a single pdf, it would be useful if we can put this through a processing profile to 'Identify','split',Index each document
In example Employee onboarding pack
(may contain a ID document, Bank Account confirmation letter, Employment contract, etc.)You would create sub profiles (or main profiles, then link to this profile) for each expected document, those not identified will have default indexes using the original input files' indexes, those that are defined is split / indexed and stored as per the sub profile.

In Workflow Task Escalations add reroute in Out of office settings
Using substitution rules is a hassle. Please just add a reroute option if the assigned user to a task is set to "out of office". This way a task can be reassigned easily directly in the Work Flow Designer.

Highlight Search
The new Highlight Search feature added to SmartConnect has a major design flaw. You specify a search dialog and one field to search but Highlight Search IGNORES all the specific criteria set in the selected search dialog which means it returns way more documents then the user expects. Example: I have an Accounting Documents - Purchase Order search that searches Doctype = Purchase Order and PO Number is the field that Highlight Search is configured to use. I highlight a PO Number in my accounting software and DocuWare Highlight Search returns the PO, Invoice, Check, Packing List, etc. even though…

Workflow: Remove active instances immediately from Tasks if User is removed from a Role
Workflow: Remove active instances immediately from a user's Tasks if user is removed from a role that is part of the workflow. Currently the active instances that were assigned to the user while they were part of the role stay in the user's Tasks until they are completed.

Provide different sort settings for keyword fields
It seems to be the case, that if an MSSQL Database (DocuWare Cloud) is used, keyword field entries are automatically sorted in an alphabetical order after applying changes to them.
This is not the case for MySQL Databases. Sometimes the order/sorting of the entered values are important for the customer or special use cases. It would be very nice to have possibilites to select how or if the entered values should be sort/ordered.6 votes -

the ability to link index fields on a form before the form is completed
Sometimes there is already data in Docuware that should be visual on a form, I'm thinking of a work order, for example. If you could generate the form where the customer data or the work order is already filled in, then that is very clear to the user who then has to fill in the work order with, for example, the materials used or hours worked.
Now you can only folder this after the form is linked back in Docuware.6 votes -
Implement a test button for autoindex, deletion policy and transfer
Add a test or simulation feature to Autoindex, Deletion policy and transfer with a counter or viewer of what documents are being affected by the rule we are creating. Easy way to prevent making a bad mistake.

Possibility to change the variables order for stamps
In earlier versions, when stamps were configured by Administration utility, it was possible do define the order of variables of the stamp.
Since the introduction of web client for stamps defining, this feature is no more available.
It could be usefull to restore this functionality for old customers that know the previous behaviour and for new ones that ask for fixed text of the stamp to preceed any other variable text.
This is the desired and "no more supported" configuration:

Index field behaviour when storing a document
Hi,
It would be awesome if we could use the same "field behaviour" as we do when configuring forms/merge forms. For example when storing a document I would like to set field behaviour to disappear or enter predefined entry to another field.

calculate rows in table fields in a workflow
I have users that complete a spreadsheet for daily activities every month. Columns at the end of the row perform calculations on that row. For example calculating the number of times a kid was seen by a therapist. I would like to be able to use a table field and do the calculations in a workflow. My current work around is only available to those with a local or hybrid system and that is to create a view in local sql database and do the calculations in sql.

OCR date reading
In pharma industry, expiration dates are very important. Some suppliers only state month/year on their documents. The date is now currently read as the first day of the month (01/mm/yy), whereas it should be the last date of the month (eg 30/09/20). A setting defining which logic of date reading is in place, would be a huge benefit for pharma clients.

Forms - Fully Data Enabled
Requesting full data interaction in Forms. For instance, fill in a key value and have other fields fill in based on that. For instance: last 4 of social pull First Name, Last Name and DOB from data and fills in those fields. I wish that were there all the time and an existing client just asked me to put in a request for it.

Allow Wildcards for Filtering in Monitor Tasks
This is a new client request, and I like it too. Would be quite useful to be able to use wildcards for the filters in Monitor Tasks columns. It's common for me to have some content in the middle of a string and it would be really nice to be able to filter for these.

Customize Cloud Login Page and New User Email
It'd be great to have a way to customize the Cloud login page so users cannot reset their passwords.
Also, the option to customize the "welcome email" new users receive.

Allow Workflow Controllers to Move an Item to A Different Node in The Workflow
Would be great for Workflow Controllers to be able to move an item on demand to any node in that workflow. We can reassign or stop, but if we run into a routing problem would be great to move the item where we need for it to be, and then we can work with the design to avoid the problem in the future

Intelligent Indexing and Colour Blindnees
I have a client that has red-green colour blindness which affects 8% of the male population. This makes Intelligent Indexing difficult as he can not tell which documents have been successfully indexed.
I propose a graphical representation of the indexing status such as a letter to represent the status i.e. G, Y or R. This will also have a benefit as you be able to sort the documents by indexing status.6 votes
