Give a choice, check box, when installing Desktop Apps
Not all user want a Desktop Icon created everytime the desktop apps are installed or updated. This is particularly annoying for cloud installs where the updates are frequent.
It would be appropriate to able to decline the desktop icon from both the update installer and silent installer methods.3 votes -
Search Parameter for Length
If you are expecting a certain number of characters for a specific index field and you want to search for all the documents containing an index with that many characters. This could help people find improperly indexed values within their filing cabinets and allow for cleaner databases.

I suggest that in the lists in which there are numeric fields, add a total at the bottom so that the user can see it without having to export information

Option to copy document to tray without index data.
We would like an option to copy a document from a cabinet to a tray without copying all index data.

Add ability to download in sets of 1000 instead of just 100. I have users that want to download 10000 records...
Take the limit of 100 records per page and increase it to 1000 so that downloading 10000 records is easier for the users or at least make it customizable from 100 default to 250, 500, 1000 etc. That way the user can tailor their experience based on their machine's capability.

Pull user's first and last names from their account.
With the integration of Azure, usernames become "jdoe" or "john.doe" and it makes it impossible to pull their first or last name out of their account. We would like the ability to do so for the Workflow tool.

Stamps available for document trays individually
Currently, you only have the feature all file cabinets/document trays for assigning stamps.
We had to change from all file cabinets/documents trays to a specific file cabinet, and in doing so the users lost that ability to stamp in their document trays.
There process is harder to stamp once in the file cabinet do to large volumes of documents being stored and having to handle the document multiple times due to this feature not being able to be assigned only to document trays.Please allow for this. Thanks

Table Fields - Make Required Field Actually Required
Hello everyone:
It would be useful if a Required column in a table field actually be required when a document is stored and probably in other contexts, too.
Right now I can set a column as required, but unless a row in the table field is popped the field is not actually required and the document can be stored with no table field entries.Causes bit of extra work for me and the client as I then have to build an autoindex routine to check for existence of table field data and set a field to indicate whether or not…

Automatic positioning of workflow stamps from the end of the document/page
Currently, when a workflow stamps is configured to be placed on the document automatically when processing a step, the stamp is positioned in the first clear area big enough from the top left corner of the document.
This often leads to documents being stamped next to the address... it would be more natural to position the stamp at the first clear area from the bottom of the document.

Add the option to select a merge form to send from the email task
When dealing with a webform with multiple merge forms, DocuWare does not have the function to select between them in order to only send one document out, and later in the workflow to add the second document to send out , lets use the following scenario , a customer needs to pay for a service , thus a invoice needs to be generated and sent out, after proof of payment was received DocuWare workflow needs to generate a receipt of payment, using the same workflow with multiple merge forms.

This seems to be more a configuration issue as this could be already done today.

Add an error message for a worflow while a document is open
Currently, When a document is open in research and it's running in a workflow, the workflow don't update the data because the document is locked. We would like to know if you can change this in a future update by adding a error message to avoid the task will be in general error or by stopping the workflow when he encounter this situation.

Integration with SharePoint Online
Many clients use Microsoft 365, formerly Office 365, including SharePoint Online. We have the requirement that documents processed in DocuWare workflows eventually be stored in SharePoint Online, to be accessed by non-DocuWare users. Storing to OneDrive may be an intermediate option.

Workflow Dashboard for Reporting / Monitoring / Analysis
Provide a dashboard for the workflow that would allow an administrator or department manager the ability to view the status of all the documents in the workflow, see who has the document, how long they have had the document and provide the outputting of a full report on documents in the workflow with this information in a format that would allow the user to review the workflow activity to determine if there are bottlenecks, people not doing their jobs, more accurate tracking of time to process documents, etc.

sync hybrid systems based on index changed with sql query updates
I have a table field that is used to keep track of therapist time with clients. I have already requested that they make the ability for the left most column to stay visible as they scroll across columns to the right but If the therapist doesn't have a scheduled session then they enter an alpha code for that day. Fill Table fields via DWControl files in DW Import
It would be extremely useful to be able to fill table fields via DWControl files with DocuWare Import. That way we could use third party capture solutions to extract and validate data from documents and then output to DocuWare with all the index and coding already done through the capture solution.
