  1. grouping of search dialogs

    Idea from DocuWare Product Blog:
    Docuware should create a menu for search dialogues in a tree form so that grouped automatically showing only dialogs over file cabinet and go as needed. Often that choice is not enough for some users who actually work with many dialogs all the time.

  2. Share a document with an external (not docuware) user for a restricted period of time

    It would be AWESOME that i could share a big file in my DW system (for example the Docuware Main Brochure - 8 MB that i can't send by email) with prospects through a link. Have them be able to access that document only for a restricted period of time like 3 days, time in which they can download the document (no editing, just viewing and downloading).

  3. User-name Watemarks when viewing sensitive documents

    for the documents that are deemed sensitive and are not allowed to be printed, downloaded or shared in any matter, it would be nice to have also a watermark of the username that is viewing the document printed on the document itself such that, if leaked by using a phone or other capturing device, it can be retraced to the user.

  4. Restore the ability to Attach, Delete, or Skip when pre-indexing

    Previous versions of DocuWare (Windows Client) allowed the user to essentially staple pages to a document when in the Storage Mask. The user would select a group of documents from a Basket and drag them to a store dialog, and click the pre-indexing check box. When clicked, this would enable three new buttons, Attach, Delete and Skip. This allowed the user to construct documents by attaching, deleting or skipping pages while indexing, without having to go back to a basket or tray.   5. add bookmarks to the Viewer

    Every time I close a multi-page document in the Viewer I lose my place - it'd be great if I could place a bookmark (with or without a name), especially for those long documents.

    The "Place Bookmark" button could be in the Tools or Navigation section and the Navigation bar could allow you to scroll between multiple bookmarks, the way you scroll between pages and docs.

  6. Please let "Keep entries” option to be checked by default. It will shorten 1 step for companies who only use that function in their imports.

    Unfortunately, this functionality is not implemented. It’s not posible to set “keep entries” option checked by default.
    I would suggest you develop this function in the upcoming version / patch.

  7. Prompt to save when index entries have been changed

    When using the viewer with index entries, any changes are not saved unless you press the save button.
    If you close the document without pressing the save button you are NOT prompted to "Save Changes".

    This could cause problems for users if they
    1. Open the Document
    2. Change the index entries (but not press save)
    3. Make an annotation on the document
    4. Close the Document
    They would be prompted to “Save Changes” this could be very misleading, as they would think they are saving all changes and not just the annotation.

  8. Allow the 'Create Data Record' option available in the web client to also be available in Workflow Manager

    Allow the Assign Data activity to create data records in a file cabinet. Two use cases where this might be useful; the posting of GL records for invoices, where invoices are in one cabinet and GL records in another as a 1 to many relationship. And the prepopulating of index data for documents that may be added later, such as a PO for an Invoice or a Shipping Manifest or BoL.

  9. Select "all" choice

    Need a “select all” button so I can clear out/delete my tray after I’m done working. For example: I had to copy an entire file section for the state. I had to go through the file page by page to separate out the different documents so only the pages that belonged together were in that document. I split out the next one and so on. I did this because I needed to print them as 2-sided and this was the only way I could think of that wouldn’t put a page that didn’t belong (i.e. 1 of 3 pgs –…

  10. move to document tray

    Need the possibility to move documents to basket/document tray. Move document out of filecabinet.
    If the user is going to clip this document to another document, we need this to because there is no way to clip documents in filecabinet..

  11. Allow for higher level of zoom for document overview window

    The maximum level of zoom currently available for the document overview window makes it practically useless when used with a larger monitor.

  12. Allow word wrap in Stamp Text Fields

    Allow word wrap in stamps. We need to add quite long comments in stamps as part of our workflow, but there is no word wrap functionality for longer comments.

  13. Connect to Outlook could not view document before storing into Docuware

    It was discovered that when storing documents from C2O, it was only the store dialog that pop up to index the document but the document to be indexed could not be viewed just like in Docuware where we have the store dialog and the document to be stored. Do I need to perform any task before the document to stored is been viewed

  14. Allow formatting of numeric fields in the admin tool to exclude the thousands separator.

    This would allow the use of numeric fields for PO numbers and the like and provide the range search capability in the search dialog, as well as proper numeric sorting.

  15. Field Mask

    In the field mask option, there is not the possibility to set a configuration about a "password type". This means the user can digit a password (for stamps for example) and the data are display as "******".

    In workflow step I can set several condition where I ask a password, but in this case it's write in visible way.

  16. Zoom to intelligent index zone

    Similar to many capture products Intelligent Indexing should have a configurable option to "zoom to zone" so that when the user is focused on a certain field (say the Invoice Number) the document viewer will zoom into that highlighted location on the document. This helps achieve a quicker review of the document. An example of this is attached.

  17. Edit Forms CSS/Javascript

    Other competitors to DocuWare that offer Forms solution are graphically very customizable. DocuWare's Forms are not as robust. It would be nice to edit the graphical elements of the Forms more in-depth via CSS and/or JavaScript.

  18. Allow a single document within a clipped document to be removed or copied.

    We clip multiple files together for a workflow and store the document, however we need the ability to copy one of those files, modify it, then re-store it as a separate document without affecting the clipped file.

  19. Make it possible to rename values in keyword fields

    In the Windows client a user could go to the Info box and select a keyword value and rename it very easily. In the Web client a user must delete and recreate a value. This can be very difficult if there are several keyword values associated to the field and they have several characters.

  20. Add .ptx files as a supported file

    Adding .ptx file format would be beneficial to Docuware because there are law firms and court systems that use this type of file format for their records. This is a standard form of file type for law firms, attorneys and court houses across the nation.
