  1. Date Format. Can format be set at system level as opossed to each user . European format rather than US

    We have found that the date is set to US format. We are in Europe so want to have the format set to European. Support tell us that this can be done locally for each user. Would it be possible to set this at a system level rather than relying on the user to do it.

    Thank you for your idea.
    Right now we are focusing on other topics, so we are not considering this idea for future releases. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.

    The DocuWare Web Client determines regional settings automatically by using the browser settings. If the users browser is set to englisch (US) then the user will automatically see US formatted dates.

  2. Have Desktop client check status occasionally of Desktop service and auto-restart it if stopped.

    I frequently get tickets from users getting "DocuWare Desktop Service is unavailable". This is almost always caused by the service being stopped for some reason and the user doesn't know how to restart it. Since the Desktop client can't do anything without the service running, it should automatically make sure the service is running every once in awhile.

  3. Ability to increase the size of the Thumbnails in the Document Trey

    Add the ability to increase the size of the thumbnails in the Thumbnail or Index Cards views in the Document Trey. They are pretty much useless at the current size.

  4. More than one field shown in Select Lists

    Enable to have select list with two columns, one for ID and another for description (for example list of partners). It is easier for user to select among description that among 8000 partner IDs.

  5. Convert Document to Template

    Create a template from a Document, usable for others. When a user selects edit, it creates a copy of the document, and stores it as a new document (with predefined index information) and then opens the document for editing...

    Allow export to CSV of only selected documents, in addition to "Entire Result List" or "Current Page". Sometimes users need to export random records from a result list that can not be isolated with a search query.

  7. Tasks: undo button

    It sometimes happen to approve a document in a task too hastily; it would be nice to have an "undo" button to come back to the document in question.

  8. create inbox when creating user

    You can't create a document tray when creating new user, if a file cabinet has not been assigned to user.

    With DocuWare's emphasis on using roles instead of individual assignments, this causes problems.

    Hello,
    When the user edit index entries of a document, it would be much more easier if this document were automatically opened in the viewer.

    Indeed, when the user processes invoices that are all similar but different, he can easily have an invoice opened in the viewer that is not the one he is modifying and do not realize it. This is a source of error.

  10. search folders

    Folders is a great concept, but when you have a lot of folders it does not work. If you could conduct a search of the folders then get a list of the folders that contain that search - that would be really nice.

  11. Zip the selected documents when multiple documents are selected to be attached to a message with the Send function

    There is a request that includes selecting individual pages too. Though, it is not clear why this isn't done by default already. When multiple documents are selected for Download, they are zipped. Why do we download the whole file rather than zip it when they are to be attached to an e-mail?

  12. allow filters on stamp configuration

    Currently, some of my customers have a ton of stamps with no way to sort other than get into the admin tool.

    Would like to maybe add a filter such as the ones allowed for Related Docs. That way you can tie the appearance of particular stamps to rely on the metadata of the document. (INVOICE doctype would show AP related stamps)

  14. Add related docs and preferences to mobile client

    Add a link to related docs in the mobile client.

    Also add the ability to hide/prioritize lists, searches, etc like you can in the windows explorer client and web client.

  15. Docuware Trays Dropdown needs to show number of files in tray

    It would be nice to have the number of files in each tray display on the drop down. This way I don't have to open the tray to see if anything needs to be processed. Please see attachment for example.

  16. Allow Custom Zoom %'s When Opening Documents in Docuware

    I would like a function in Docuware to allow each document you open to zoom in to a specific % so it is easily read. It will save countless times of clicking to zoom in only to discover this isn't the document you needed and have to repeat the process again on the next document.

  17. When you create a Folder and a Windows Client, the first column is the File Name.

    Many DocuWare customers, including many customers from older version of DocuWare, have and index for file name, and set as the Document Name.

    Now, when they create a new Folder, the first column is the file name. But, when documents are scanned into DocuWare, or imported from a network folder, the file name often is repeated, SCAN1.pdf, SCAN2.pdf, and so on. This can be very confusing to new users.

    There needs to be a setting that will allow you to hide the File Name when you create a Folder, or reorder it to be in different column location.

  18. Allow the ability to delete stamps and leave the data in the log.

    We have operating procedures that get modified monthly and have to go through an approval process. We are accumulating pages and pages of approval stamps on the end of our procedures. Also, when we check out a document to insert a photo, for example, it pushes the pages down and the stamps stay in place and cover the text of the document. It looks sloppy and unprofessional to auditors and customers. We need a better solution for multiple stamps on documents in file cabinets that use revision control.

  19. Please make it possible to do a word search or number search in the document tray to filter out duplicates.

    On a daily basis we receive a large amount of Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the raw materials that are delivered. There will be multiple copies of the COA's for the same lot and then there will be other lots attached as well. I am unable to take the time to look through all of them, so we scan everything. Once they are in the document tray I need a solution to filter out the duplicate COA's before I store them. For instance, right now I have 600 COA's I need to store but I know I could get rid…

  20. Bring back the Print Result List button

    Previous versions of the thick client had a Print Result List button that would print a result list directly to a printer. I have customers that use this to report on recently stored documents. Now they have several more steps to work around this missing button.
    The older Thick client -
    1. Search for documents.
    2. Click button to print result list. - - It would be printed directly to a printer. (In a readable format.)

    The Web Client.
    1. Search for documents.
    2. Click button and select copy to CSV.
    3. Open CSV in excel.
    4. Select first Column.…
