Our customers have to have the Placeholder function of the Field Masks included in the Web Client
According to your FAQ #1858, Because of technical reasons it is not possible to display in Web Client placeholders in fields with field masks. Only in Windows Client placeholders can be displayed.
A large portion of our customer base is comprised of County Clerk’s Office within the State of Indiana. The primary field that they use to look up documents is a 24-character Cause Number, which includes numbers and letters separated by dashes in a state-defined format. When using 'Keep Entries' have an option NOT to carry over field which is 'FileName'
When Multiple documents with similar Index data are stored, an option should be available to have the 'File Name' field come from the next document, not carried over from previous one. Would be even better if a selection can be made which fields are carried over and which are not.

Remember the last used annotation after moving to next/previous document
In the web client when you choose an annotation such as the "Write text on overlay" it does not remember the last used annotation function after changing pages. The windows client would remember the last function and not require the user to continually click the same function over and over again. This becomes very frustrating when working on a large batch of files. Please see the attached file for a detailed walk through of the problem.

Allow drag and drop to Outlook e-mails for sending documents
I get a lot of requests from users that would like the option to drag and drop documents from the DocuWare webclient (i.e. from a search result) directly into an Outlook e-mail.
Currently, the only option is to right click and Send by E-mail. However this option creates a new, empty, e-mail and freezes up the whole Outlook client until the e-mail is sent. This renders our users unable to respond to document requests or to attach documents into ongoing conversations - which is the case most of the time when a document is needed.

Right now, there is no possibility to change this behavior. DocuWare is using a system functionality from Windows to send an email. Outlook is blocking access to the main window when using this system functionality.

link annotations with index fields
It would be great to give the ability to annotations to auto-populate index fields, like the stamps do. Since stamps are permanent and cannot be edited or deleted, the annotations are more user friendly for "live documents" that are being updated.

Store Automatically Currently ignores the settings in the selected store dialog. It should still default values in fields etc.
Personally I think this is a bug. Currently Store Dialog settings like preloaded default values are ignored. If you select multiple documents in a tray and use the Store Automatically the settings of the store dialog are not processed. This causes huge issues if a status field for instance was preloaded to kick off a particular workflow. The user is allowed to do it but the documents get stored without the necessary default index values and the user has no idea the fields were not filled in as they are if they store one at a time with the store…

add keyboard short to confirm task
I'm surprised that you can't confirm a task without using the mouse. Customers confirm a lot invoices everyday and don't wanna use the mouse every time.

Have Desktop client check status occasionally of Desktop service and auto-restart it if stopped.
I frequently get tickets from users getting "DocuWare Desktop Service is unavailable". This is almost always caused by the service being stopped for some reason and the user doesn't know how to restart it. Since the Desktop client can't do anything without the service running, it should automatically make sure the service is running every once in awhile.

Bring back the ability for field masks to auto format data.
As an example if the mask is for a SSN, allow typing of 123456789 without the dashes. This needs to be for storing as well as searching and also point and shoot indexing

Give the ability to drag and drop from the results list into an email
When I get emails asking for documents I don't want to have to start a new email chain to be able to email someone a document. I would like to be able to pick a document from the results list and drag and drop into an existing email chain.

Add the ability to use an index field to pre-populate forms in a stamp
It would be beneficial to be able to add predefined values from an index field when creating a stamp with form fields. Currently, if you set a form field in a stamp to "Predefined Entry" you only receive the basic options like currentusershortname, currentdate, etc.

Stamp locations
My idea would be to have the option with Tasklist to be able to set a specific location on a document for the a stamp to be placed automatically. Individual stamp configuration would be idea. Mobile clients don't seem to be able to get the stamp in the same spot as the web client.

user permission report
Report that shows username with the DocuWare groups, roles and file cabinet permissions they are associated with.
Options to output PDF and CSV formats.

Clip documents within a workflow
currently the user is required to clip documents manually, it would be seamless if documents could be clipped automatically within a workflow so that they could be email as one document

Automatically remove licenses from users not found in any AD synced groups.
On-Premise; Active Directory sync.
Users that are removed from AD groups that are synced to Docuware should also automatically remove the license from that user upon synchronization to Active Directory14 votes -

Split option in barcodes for "is different from previous page" is not available for QR codes. Please include option for QR codes.

Fillable PDF Web Forms
An option to have the pdf Web Forms create a Fillable pdf like you can with the merge forms. We would like to have PDF forms instead of flat PDF's.
I really like the layouts I can create with the web forms, but I have to use Merge Forms because we need the ability to easily edit the PDF's after they have been submitted. Merge forms are ok, but making the Web Forms as fillable PDF's would be very helpful for us, and much faster to create and easier to manage.

Possibility to click hyperlink inside document viewer
Possibility to click link inside the stored document. For example, if you have www.google.com inside your stored document, at the moment is not possible to click this link by document viewer.

add bookmarks to the Viewer
Every time I close a multi-page document in the Viewer I lose my place - it'd be great if I could place a bookmark (with or without a name), especially for those long documents.
The "Place Bookmark" button could be in the Tools or Navigation section and the Navigation bar could allow you to scroll between multiple bookmarks, the way you scroll between pages and docs.
