Clip Documents Directly in Results
Hello, I would love to be able to clip documents directly in the results list. Currently, we must check documents to our tray, clip them together, than store them again. This of course leaves the individual pages behind, which we must manually delete or mark for deletion. It would be enormously helpful to be able to clip them together within the results list. Just shift or ctrl select the documents, right-click, and clip. I can't describe how much time this would save our company. Thank you very much for your consideration.

I suggest that you add an option to have live hyperlinks.
I am wondering if it was possible to be able to click on a hyperlink which gets stored as one of the index fields. We would like some of our users to be able to click either on the result list or the DocuWare viewer and whatever the link has is where the users will be re-directed to.
Can that be done? We tried saving a couple of links on the result list and even on the document but the links are not clickable.
I have the URL for google.com but I would have to select edit index entries and…

Restore the ability to Attach, Delete, or Skip when pre-indexing
Previous versions of DocuWare (Windows Client) allowed the user to essentially staple pages to a document when in the Storage Mask. The user would select a group of documents from a Basket and drag them to a store dialog, and click the pre-indexing check box. When clicked, this would enable three new buttons, Attach, Delete and Skip. This allowed the user to construct documents by attaching, deleting or skipping pages while indexing, without having to go back to a basket or tray. This was a big time saver in the Windows Client, and a big time waster when trying to…

Prompt to save when index entries have been changed
When using the viewer with index entries, any changes are not saved unless you press the save button.
If you close the document without pressing the save button you are NOT prompted to "Save Changes".This could cause problems for users if they
1. Open the Document
2. Change the index entries (but not press save)
3. Make an annotation on the document
4. Close the Document

Allow the 'Create Data Record' option available in the web client to also be available in Workflow Manager
Allow the Assign Data activity to create data records in a file cabinet. Two use cases where this might be useful; the posting of GL records for invoices, where invoices are in one cabinet and GL records in another as a 1 to many relationship. And the prepopulating of index data for documents that may be added later, such as a PO for an Invoice or a Shipping Manifest or BoL.

Display a scond column in a Select list, other than the one used for the index field
This would allow a description of the data being chosen by the user, such as GL account name for a GL number, or user name for a UserShortName, or Vendor name for a vendor ID. This would also prevent truncation of a field and violating the new Select List Only configuration.

Allow changing real file name during Copy To
Currently, if I have a document that I might use as a template for a new document and I perform a "Copy To" operation, the base file name will remain the same. This makes it impossible to edit two resulting documents side by side in an editor such as Word or Excel because their base filename is identical.
Either the file should be opened as the "File Name" index, or the option to change the file name during "Copy To" needs to allow the base file name to be specified.

workflow copy objects in workflow.
you can copy workflow objects one at a time but that still requires me to attach them and get them on the right place. I would like to select a group of objects in workflow design at one time and copy them to another workflow.

Share a document with an external (not docuware) user for a restricted period of time
It would be AWESOME that i could share a big file in my DW system (for example the Docuware Main Brochure - 8 MB that i can't send by email) with prospects through a link. Have them be able to access that document only for a restricted period of time like 3 days, time in which they can download the document (no editing, just viewing and downloading).

Place Hoders for Signatures
When opening a document that needs stamping/signing, it would be great if stamp go automatically go to a predefined location on the document (signature field).

move to document tray
Need the possibility to move documents to basket/document tray. Move document out of filecabinet.

Keep or not keep duplicates of clipped documents
If Docuware dont make the clip available on documents in the filecabinet, we need a posibility to choose if docuware is going to make/or not make duplicates after clip or check-out documents.
Check-out to basket for clipping or copy-to basket for clipping would automaticly generate a dublicate of the clipped documents.

Allow for higher level of zoom for document overview window
The maximum level of zoom currently available for the document overview window makes it practically useless when used with a larger monitor.

Split panes next to each other instead of one above other.
Is it possible to have split panes next to each other instead of one above the other? With a separate viewer there is a better view of the webbaskets, entries, lists etc.

Bring back the ability for field masks to auto format data.
As an example if the mask is for a SSN, allow typing of 123456789 without the dashes. This needs to be for storing as well as searching and also point and shoot indexing

Connect to Outlook could not view document before storing into Docuware
It was discovered that when storing documents from C2O, it was only the store dialog that pop up to index the document but the document to be indexed could not be viewed just like in Docuware where we have the store dialog and the document to be stored. Do I need to perform any task before the document to stored is been viewed

you should be able to cancel document during importing
While importing document into the web basket, there should be a way you can cancel the document from importing

grouping of search dialogs
Idea from DocuWare Product Blog:
Docuware should create a menu for search dialogues in a tree form so that grouped automatically showing only dialogs over file cabinet and go as needed. Often that choice is not enough for some users who actually work with many dialogs all the time.This was an reply to the following article:

Field Mask
In the field mask option, there is not the possibility to set a configuration about a "password type". This means the user can digit a password (for stamps for example) and the data are display as "******".
In workflow step I can set several condition where I ask a password, but in this case it's write in visible way.
